We had the good fortune of connecting with Sensorya Green and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sensorya, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was that I wanted to be as self sustainable as possible. Often so many of us spend years working for other people, just to have our positions ripped from under our feet, due to a variety of reasons.

I’m a free spirit, I thrive best when given room to express my individuality, creative traits, and do things I love. Having someone depict what they deem my worth is by the amount they’ll pay me, the hours I work, or a position I’m deemed “qualified” for just doesn’t work for me.

I began creating energy based jewelry, selling crystal products and instructing yoga as a form of self expression and to aid in my own personal healing journey as well as others. I enjoy helping people, whether it be mentally, emotionally, physically, or spiritually. My business incorporates all of the above.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Growing up I always enjoyed creating jewelry; bracelets specifically. I loved collecting stones and creating and participating in various workout routines. As an adult, I literally merged all three and “Synciere Healing” was born.

Authenticity and individuality are important traits to me. I want everyone to be comfortable with being themselves and expressing themselves as such.

My energy based jewelry and crystal products are intended to aid the wearer/ user along their own growth and spiritual journey. These pieces are gentle reminders of the energy the wearer is wanting to attract or dispel.

Each piece goes through a “completion” process after being made, but before packaging.
1. Each piece is cleansed with sage and/or palo santo.
2. Then each piece is charged under direct sunlight for a minimum of 3 hours. If there is no sun available I will charge with direct moonlight overnight.
3. Right before the piece is packaged, I will hold the piece between my palms and pray over it. The intended wearer may have a specific energy/ want/ need they’re looking to attract and I will pray for that for them. If the intended wearer has not shared anything specific I’ll do a general encouraging and protective prayer for the wearer. Crystal products go through the same completion process prior to packaging.

I conduct virtual and in person beginner level yoga sessions. My goal is to help people help themselves.

Yoga is a great exercise for both the mental and physical body. I incorporate various basic yoga and pranayama (breathing) techniques into my sessions. Prior to an individual session, all future participants must complete a free “pre-stretch” consultation via phone with me. This is how we determine the goals and expectations that the future participant has and it gives me insight to create the best personalized sequence.

I am still in the earlier stages of my business development. It definitely has its pros and cons. But the growth and understand that comes from building your own brand is rewarding.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to Piedmont Park or even Stone Mountain to simply enjoy the energy and vibe of nature. The Botanical Garden would be another stop on the list. If they’re up for it, I would bring them to an aerial gym I’m a member at; The Sky Barre and we can have fun utilizing the aerial silks.
If the weather permits we can take a drive to Tybee Island and enjoy the beach scenery.

Honestly I don’t have a go to restaurant for foods and drinks. We can always vibe in the house, cook a good meal and drink wine.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout my mom; Jerrina Walker. She’s helped shape me into the loving, genuine, helper that I am today. Simply by displaying these own qualities herself and allowing me the room to be open and be myself.
