We had the good fortune of connecting with Segeeta Allen-Bland and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Segeeta, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thoughts behind starting my own business is be ready for whatever. Starting your own business can be very chaglleging from deciding the name, logo, mission statement, target market, price etc. When you are starting a business you have to be very protect of your time management. Also know that the price you charge for your product or service is your worth (don’t let nobody tell you different). Trying to stick to a schedule daily (daily rountine) if possible. Having a to do list is very impotant not just in your business but also in your everyday life.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Well I am Broker Assoicates with a background in Finance. I feel like that sets me apart from other its like have the best of both worlds. Say for instant I have a House or Commerical Client looking to purchase I can pretty much give them a consultation for purchasing a house and manging there finance (especially tax returns which hurt a lot of buyers). I am the Owner CEO Of L & S Financial Serivices (full accounting services) and also an Broker Associate looking to open my on Broker Company in the future. I learned that if you have a goal go after no matter how many times you fail at it stay focus and don’t nobody take you off your grind. Don’t give up and networking with people that have more or know more than you. Your network equal your networth. I want the world to know that I am here to help one family at a time. I want them to know that you upbringing does not defined where you want to go.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well I would defienly take them to all my clients spot.We will eat at Breafast at Barney’s then head down the walk way to Graffitt and hit up Zoo Bar.The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First I would like to give a shout out to God who is ahead of my life who makes everthing possible. I would like to give a shoutout to my number one supportors my kids Lavel Jr and London Mcdew for always riding with me and putting up with me. Also a big shoutout to Lavel Mcdew Sr for all of his support from day one on any business decision that I make. Also my late mother Leslie Bland for always believing in me and giving me that hustle DNA and my spitual mother Apostal Cynthia Forde for always standing and praying for me daily. Also my my mentor my broker Felicia Phillips-Smith for showing taken me under her wing and showing me the ropes. Also my close family, friends, clients and future clients.
