We had the good fortune of connecting with Sebastien Joachim and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sebastien, what do you attribute your success to?
Let me just start by saying that God is good all the time, if it was not for his grace, I would not be where I am today. The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand is the ability to identify my voice. We all have that inner voice that speaks to us our goals, desires, and greatest of ideas and then there’s the ego which aims to limit and destroy our potential. Over time I’ve learned and is still learning to adhere to the voice that pushes me to thrive rather than survive. Everyday I have to make a decision and everyday I choose that still voice which has led me here to Atlanta, which has allowed me to get out of my comfort zone, and which is allowing me to cultivate my gift of inspiring, helping, and encouraging people to look and feel their best through fashion influence. I’m already successful because I’m doing better than I was yesterday and that is something I’m learning to celebrate everyday.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart is the love for my craft and my love for others. I am very personable and I genuinely like to find the good in people whether that’s through networking, offering my styling services or Relationship building. My art of being a fashion stylist/ image consultant grants me the opportunity to help redefine the image of men more specifically, in professional and creative spaces. Also, it allows me to create a digital platform where I inspire fashion enthusiasts like myself and curate creative content and fashion tips for men everywhere. Since we’re here, please follow me on Instagram @_dashofbash, I would appreciate the support, thank you. I am most proud of my recent move to Atlanta. New Jersey is home where I lived with my parents, and for too long I’ve felt complacent and that things weren’t moving for me. However, since relocating and truly being independent for the first time in my life, I’m rediscovering who I am and finding my identity. It has not been easy to say the least but, putting myself out there in the social setting and being placed in the right rooms with the right people has allowed my brand to grow. Through this journey, I’m learning to celebrate every success and every silent moments because I may not know where God is taking me but I know where he has brought me from, and I have joy in just knowing I’m doing better than I was yesterday. To whoever is reading this article, I say to you, be encouraged because everything will work out for your good! Do not be concerned about what the world is doing, your story, my story, our story is still being written. Continue to enjoy life, give yourself grace and take time to discover yourself. Lastly, if we are faithful over a few things, God will make us ruler over many things.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m still fairly new to Atlanta but, In my time of being here so far, I would say these are the things to do and places to visit: – The Georgia Aquarium
– Chill day at Piedmont park for festivals, carnivals, concerts or just enjoy nature.
– Toast on Lenox for a chill Brunch, their fish and grits is to die for
– Rum punch on Sundays for a more afrobeat brunch vibe
– The Roof at ponce city market, It’s a rooftop full of vibes. Enjoy carnival games, mini golf, drinks and food. During the winter they have their igloos for dinning and ice skating.
– The battery is where everyone goes to gather. Head there for baseball games at the braves stadium, nightlife, and Punch bowl social for drinks and karaoke night.
– El Tesoro has the best tacos and burritos you probably will ever have in Atlanta.
– And of course the Martin Luther king jr National historical park to visit the home which he once lived in.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Honestly God gets all the credit but, he also says that it is not good for any man to be alone. Fortunately for me, he has placed me in the presence of some special people who have helped me to stay grounded and focused in the midst of doubts and uncertainty. The love from my immediate family, mom, paps, brothers and cousins. The encouragement of Some friends, Guerla Alie Jean Charles, Stephane Dume, Manessa and my two best friends Cootchill Nelson and Ralf Joseph to name a few. And the support of my new founded friends, Dana, Tesia, Tiara, DonTaé, Ama and Zeek who has undoubtedly become family during this process of moving to Atlanta and community building.
