We had the good fortune of connecting with Sean Morgan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sean, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
I think for me one of the main habits that helped set me up for success is to just be kind. Try to give and help where you can. Time and time again I have gain so much by helping someone out and that turning into a great opportunity or business relationship down the road.

What should our readers know about your business?
MUVIfilms is a commercial film production company that started out over 12 years ago. My best friend opened up his recording studio and I decided to take on music videos so we could be a one stop shop for musicians and artist. That’s how “MUVI (music video) films” came about. From there we grew to a top tier commercial production company and we also take on Indy film projects as well. I worked full time for 10 years in the quality and aerospace industry as an engineer and ran my business on the side. February of 2022 I finally to take the risk and go full time filming. I didn’t have a single client booked and very little in savings. I don’t recommend that path but some things were happening in my life where I felt it was time. My job was cutting my pay and I figured I’d rather struggle for myself if I was going to struggle. But I had a good support team and we pulled out some major projects and made it through.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would definitely start downtown Charleston, it’s definitely a top travel destination for a reason. I’d say for food you can’t go wrong with Halls chop house. Really you could walk down king street and stop in anywhere and find great food and even better night life!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have to shout out first my girlfriend Ashleigh and her business Affordablychic.com and my best friend Jordan Costello at Costello Studios . Entrepreneurship is not for the weak, but these two have really been my support and vice versa, when it comes to holding me accountable and just remaining disciplined when it comes to putting in the work that no one wants to do. It’s a little bit easier to struggle and grow with like minded individuals.
