We had the good fortune of connecting with Sean Mack and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sean, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand would be my ability to connect with my clients on a more trusting level. Making sure who I am working with is comfortable is one of the main goals I want to achieve once I am hired. Having a reputation for making someone feel at home and at ease is something I pride myself in. Starting a business is always stressful and you never know how others will take it in. I believe that my business has been successful because of the quality of my work and how fast and efficient I am getting my work done. In the photography world, I understand that the clients want their images back as soon as possible because they are anxious but on top of that, they want to be able to share those images with friends and family sooner rather than later. I’ve been able to develop a system where I can give back high quality images in a fast pace. I am very meticulous so I pay very close attention to every detail in the images but I also make sure I don’t rush anything to put out any sloppy or unfinished work. Having great customer service is another reason why my business has business successful. Knowing how to talk to people in a business setting is a skill I learned while in college. People are more willing to come back again and promote you business to others if they feel you took the time to understand exactly what they wanted , treated them with respect and carried yourself and your brand in a professional way.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Being a professional photographer, I think what sets me apart from others is my creativity and eye for all things different. There are so many photographers in the world and we all bring something different to our images. I like to step out the box and do things that are not normal so that my audience is captivated and they want to see more. The way i got started into photography was a long journey and something i just happened to stumble upon. While studying Mass Communications at Fayetteville State University, I didnt have a job while in school so I wanted something to fill my time once I was done with classes during my junior year. My first photography job was in a department store and it was very entry level and simple. After a few month doing this job, I realized I was really good at what i did and wanted to challenge myself more. After working at 3 more major department store portrait studios, I decided i was ready to apply for my first professional photographer job. Once I was hired, i learned all there was to know about photography and working with cameras. I loved every aspect of photography and i knew this was where i needed to be. After 6 years of being a professional photographer, I wanted a change and I ended up switching careers and joined the airline industry. A few years into my new career I connected with three amazing women that changed my life. These three models inspired me to pick up my camera again and not only continue to do photography but start my own business as well. The Mack Experience LLC is the name of my photography business and it is a business unlike no other. The quality you will get with me is exceptional and the service is in the exact same level. Since I became a bushiness owner, I have learned that if you treat people with respect and remain professional at all times, there would be very minimal problems you’d run into. I want the world to know that my brand is super unique and I make sure you are 100% satisfied with what you receive back.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If i had friends visiting me in my city, the first spot i would take them would be downtown. There are so many places to eat and beautiful spots to look at. After that we would go visit some parks to do a nature walk and see the amazing views from some of the docks we have. Im definitely an adventurous person so id talk them into going zip lining with me in the city. At our zip lining facility , we go over a waterfall and can view the city from high into the trees.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to three women: Krystal Kelley, Gabrielle Boone and Todavia Daniels. These amazing women are one of the main reasons I started back doing photography again. I was doing photography for 6 years then decided to stop and pursue another career. While working on a project about two years ago, I was inspired by them to pick up my camera again and take a few photos of them randomly. Needless to say I have not put my camera back down since that day. The spark I had for photography came back and I was more driven then before. If it wasn’t for these ladies, I would have never taken the leap back into a passion of mine that I buried away. These amazing women have been by my side since day one and because of their hard work and dedication, we were all able to be published in multiple local, national and International magazine publications with multiple spreads with in the books. I will be forever grateful to them, my triple threat .
