We had the good fortune of connecting with Scott Low and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Scott, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
We wanted to combine our passions of fly fishing, music, art, and family all onto our property hoping to be a many faceted source of happiness.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Here at Hatch Camp and Art Farm we offer guided and unguided fly fishing. Lessons for fishing or fly tying are available. We also host listening room style concerts on our creekside stage! Our mission has always be to put facilitating happiness as more important than money, tho we still have bills! We have been trying to make fly fishing affordable for everyone, all ages, sex and colors. And trout is magic.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well we stay up here in the mountains as much as possible but we love the Aquarium and the Battery and the Braves! I would bring friends north to our town of Clayton where we have great dining and wineries and most of nature! The waterfalls and trout streams to the mountain peaks and friendly folks! And we would definitely go fishing!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I wanna shout-out to all the fly fishing guides and musicians and artists who survived the ups and down of life much less the pandemic!
