We had the good fortune of connecting with Savannah Vinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Savannah, how do you think about risk?
In the modeling industry, taking risks is essential for success. Starting your own casting agency also involves significant risks but can lead to more control over your work and income, and the opportunity to build a business that reflects your values and vision. To succeed, you need courage, determination, and a solid plan in place. Ultimately, taking risks in the modeling industry and in starting your own casting agency requires courage, determination, and a willingness to learn and adapt. It’s important to weigh the potential benefits against the potential risks, and to have a solid plan in place before taking the leap. With the right mindset and strategy, however, the rewards can be well worth the risk.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

I started out modeling, and as a model, I often found myself at the mercy of others when it came to casting and booking jobs. It was frustrating to feel like I didn’t have control over my own career. That’s why I decided to transition to become a content creator.

Becoming a content creator gave me the opportunity to be my own boss and take charge of my own destiny. I could create content that I was passionate about, and I no longer had to rely on others to cast me for jobs. It was liberating to have the freedom to express myself creatively and build my own brand.

Of course, transitioning to become a content creator was not without its challenges. It required a lot of hard work, dedication, and a willingness to take risks. But it was worth it to have the freedom to pursue my passions on my own terms.

Now, as a successful content creator, I’m grateful for the opportunities that being my own boss has brought me. It’s been an empowering journey, and I’m excited to continue creating content that inspires and uplifts others. I started my own casting agency, a place where models of all backgrounds and sizes could have a fair shot at success. It was important to me to create an environment that was supportive, inclusive, and focused on building meaningful relationships with clients and models alike.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Morning: Grab coffee and a bagel at Ess-a-Bagel in Midtown Midday: Walk around Central Park and take in the sights
Afternoon: Head to the High Line in Chelsea and walk the elevated park
Evening: Have dinner at Joe’s Pizza in Greenwich Village for a classic NYC slice

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a shout out to my husband Ammar. I want to express my gratitude for your unwavering support as I pursue my passion for modeling and casting directing. Your encouragement and belief in me have been invaluable, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without you by my side.

I also want to acknowledge your own journey, from starting out in accounting to transitioning to photography. Your willingness to take risks and follow your dreams is truly inspiring, and it’s clear that your talent and dedication have led to great success.
