We had the good fortune of connecting with Sash Witter and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sash, what do you attribute your success to?
Remaining genuine, consistent and transparent

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I considered myself a multitalented creative. I write, do event curations, book talent, and media outlets for showcases and events, I creative direct, content creation, and off a lot of public relations work. I basically connect the dots that make important plays. I am most proud of working with indie artists, signed artists, and labels to generate organic exposure on and offline for talented emcees, singers, and brands. It went to college and majored in communications and media arts. A few years ago I started a podcast show in NYC where I would interview artists and creatives to help them gain exposure. That led to meeting Jocelyn Rivera, who hired me as a writer for her PR agency, which then led me to staff writing for a few publications. It definitely wasn’t easy but it wasn’t that hard lol. Making a name for myself and being credible wasn’t that hard because I am pretty transparent. I don’t sugarcoat things or front like I’m capable of doing things I can’t. I think Once people started to see that, they felt comfortable working and building with me. I overcame many challenges by being a sponge. I am always open to learning and taking constructive criticism so that helped me to be better and overcome certain challenges. One of the most important lessons I have learned is to be humbly confident and believe in yourself no matter what. I want the world to know that regardless of what life throws at you, how you were raised and where you are from doesn’t matter if don’t put in the work. Smart and hard work pays off. Find something you love to do and use it to make money and you will never work a day in your life.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
NYC has some of the best brunch spots and restaurants. The bronx, bk and queens has some of the best-cultured spots. So I would take them to both lol. A lil fancy mixed in with the hood is always fun. Doing the tour bus of the city is fun and insightful. A carriage ride through central park is cool. Enjoying some good food and a water taxi at the South seaport in manhattan is a vibe.
