Meet Sarah Jackson | Founder of LNJ Learning, LLC

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sarah Jackson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sarah, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
I would say the most important lesson my business and throughout my career has taught me is to NEVER limit yourself, and trust the journey…
I started thinking I would be a creative director for a major graphic design agency. Although I might still do that when studying my craft (also a very crucial lesson). I realized how art is learning and how social learning is truly revolutionary.
So instead of educating myself in graphic design I went for a Master’s Degree program in Learning Design and have hit the ground running ever since, and even now I am exploring as seeing other creative ventures I can explore.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is what I would call the “underdog”.
I say this because in a general sense when people think of creativity or art they may think of a singer or an artist or even a poet. However, with my art, those things could very well beget, but truly my art is the more intangible aspect which I would call knowledge.
I believe what sets me apart from others is not my ability to just create but more so my ability to bring out the creativity in others, through knowledge, I like to think of myself as a “Baby Google”/smile.
I am most proud excited about what I can work on next because mostly; it turns out to become more than what myself or the client expected. For example, if I meet a potential new client for the first time who is a clothing designer, by the time our project is over they may now become a clothing designer and a professional podcaster.
When it comes to how I got where I am today I would say I got here through my continued growth mindset and my overall natural thirst for knowledge.
It was not in the least bit easy being where I am today, at least for me and it still isn’t easy. The reason is that I had to have laser-sharp focus at all times, like literally no days off.
How I overcame it all… two words faith and focus.
The lessons along the way I learned may sound overplayed but honestly could not be said enough is never give up, set your eyes on a goal, and do what it takes to get there, and without a plan, you have no goal only a wish.
What I want the world to know specifically about my brand and my brand story is I am doing this as inspiration to all the little black girls and girls of color to know that they can be tech, and they can be anything you are unique, my story purpose to remind all of us to pour on salt and turn on your light (Mathew 5:13).
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ok so I have only been to Atlanta once, but if I were to go again on leisure I would definitely want to check out the top attractions. .
I would to see/ visit is TI’s Trap Music Museum.
I would want to eat at the Ole Lady Gang for some traditional soul food
For fun with the kid the Georgia Aquarium.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Oh yes! I actually have a combo of people, a book, and an organization.
So for the people ironically enough I want to give a shout-out to my clients! Yes, it is a unique divine way in which we all connected, and through the projects; we have done together I would say we both have gained knowledge and power so…
