We had the good fortune of connecting with Santidra Morris and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Santidra, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
If it’s something that I can’t stop thinking about, If when I lay down at night it’s the last thing I think about, and the first thing I wake up too.I know at that moment giving up is not an option. If it’s difficult and challenging for me I know that the outcome has to be great! Anything that comes easy isn’t worth having.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I own a Barbershop called Fresh Fadez & Designz located in Riverdale Ga. When I purchased my shop I didn’t plan on being a Barber, At the time of purchase I was told that I would have Barbers, well that’s not what happened, I had purchased a shop without any barbers at all. I had to keep it going so I became a self taught barber kind of like flight or fight moment! Starting out I wasn’t so good but I was always honest and walked my clients through the process and here almost 4 years later I still have over 50% of my clients that I started with, they believed in me. I have learned that people make the world go around, a business without people is one that will surely fail. I have met alot of challenges along the way from building a team to second guessing my career and business decisions,I wouldn’t trade it for anything else in the world where I am now.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Having a strong Mother has everything to do with where I am and my journey to success. My mother was a single mom of 5, I have never seen my mom give up, from walking to work a lot of times to allowing us to eat while she took what was left over. Our days wasn’t always Sunny but she always let us know that it doesn’t rain always, the sun will shine if you keep pushing. And I have applied that to my life in every way personal/business.
