Hi Sanna, how has your background shaped the person you are today?

I have deep roots in North Georgia, having spent the majority of my life in this vibrant region, currently residing in a charming suburb of North Atlanta. My journey began in the picturesque town of Dalton, Georgia, back in 1978, during a time when midwifery was gaining popularity. It’s a fascinating anecdote from my birth – my parents chose to share the experience with the community by airing it live on the radio. As fate would have it, I entered the world under the care of a remarkable midwife named Sanna, whose name I proudly carry with me to this day. This early connection to the community and the unique circumstances of my birth have instilled in me a deep appreciation for the importance of personal connections and the power of storytelling.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Most days, you’ll find me at Blue Sky Systems in Studio B, where I wear multiple hats as one of the owners, of a security company and as a co-host and producer of “Conversations with Our Father,” a podcast that has aired on Hope 93.3 FM, Spotify and aired all over the world with downloads of over 7K. This podcast delves into the importance of conversations with our fathers, whether they are heavenly or earthly, or if we had to fill that role ourselves due to absence. It’s about resilience, a quality I’ve embraced throughout my journey.

Reflecting on how I arrived here, I trace back to my experiences in the 90’s when I worked for a communications company. There, I gained invaluable knowledge and had the privilege of collaborating with exceptional leaders and coworkers. Even tasks as seemingly mundane as proofreading a phone book became opportunities for reflection and prayer for abundance and safety in the lives of those listed. This mindset accompanied me when I transitioned to co-owning Blue Sky Systems, a security company specializing in hardware security.

In my role at Blue Sky Systems, I approach each task with a silent prayer for the security and success of our clients, whether it’s in their homes or businesses. This commitment to holistic security, coupled with the lessons learned from my diverse professional journey, shapes my approach to business and life.

I extend a warm invitation for you to visit us in North Atlanta, specifically in Cumming, Georgia, a dynamic hub for businesses. Our community thrives with a plethora of entrepreneurs, each contributing to the rich tapestry of talent woven throughout our area. My journey to success has been deeply influenced by the unwavering support of my family, who have always been there to lend a helping hand. Growing up, my family owned a thriving beauty shop, which provided me with invaluable lessons in business operations and the importance of nurturing both employees and family alike. Witnessing firsthand the intricacies of running a business and the delicate balance of caring for those involved has profoundly shaped who I am today.

My family, in particular, have been instrumental in my journey. They’ve not only provided valuable insights and advice but have also been willing participants in countless business discussions and have readily stepped in to offer assistance whenever needed. Their involvement has reinforced the importance of collaboration and the strength that comes from working together as a family unit.

Throughout my life, I’ve always had a keen eye for efficiency, constantly seeking out ways to streamline processes and enhance productivity. This mindset was further honed during my college years, where I pursued coursework tailored to business leadership. I firmly believe that at the heart of any successful endeavor lies the people involved. Just as we welcomed customers into our beauty shop in the 80’s, with open arms, inviting them to make themselves at home and join us in our collective efforts to improve, I approach every business opportunity with the same ethos: come in, get comfortable, roll up your sleeves, and let’s work together to make this place even better.
