Meet Sandrine | Interior Designer & Commissioned Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sandrine and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sandrine, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
SNC Interiors creates European-influenced designs that authentically represent the distinct personality of each client by offering residential interior design services as well as commissioned paintings.
I’m from Brussels, Belgium. From a young age, I was immersed in the world of architecture and design. My parents were passionate collectors and the founders and publishers of the renowned European magazine VILLAS. Growing up in this creative environment sparked my fascination with interiors and design, naturally leading me to pursue a degree in interior architecture at the Institut St.-Luc in Brussels, where I graduated with honors. Eager to further refine my artistic vision, I continued my training at the Van Der Kelen-Logelain School, the only school in the world located in the heart of Brussels dedicated to teaching the traditional techniques of decorative painting. There, I deepened my understanding of perspective, composition, and observation. My background has profoundly shaped not only my professional path but also the way I experience and interact with the spaces around me.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart is my European background, infusing my work with a sense of elegance and a distinct, fresh perspective. I think differently, and I’m able to bring new ideas and a different sensibility to every project. I also have a strong instinct, I can sense what feels right or wrong, not just for myself but for my clients as well. This helps me create spaces and art that truly resonate with the people I serve.
What makes me successful at what I do is simple: I absolutely love it. As long as I can use my creativity, I’m happy. That passion drives everything I create. I’m also responsible, meticulous, and highly organized. I do need to remind myself not to let my perfectionism take over — I’ve learned that sometimes “done” is better than “perfect” because time is valuable.
Running my own business isn’t always easy but I’ve overcome challenges by remaining true to myself, trusting my instincts, and always striving to grow. Every challenge taught me resilience, balance, and the importance of believing in myself and my vision.
What I want the world to know about me and my work is that everything I create is designed to heal, inspire, and bring joy. Whether it’s an interior space or a piece of art, my goal is for it to reflect my client’s personality and make them feel truly at home.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I had a friend visiting me in Atlanta for a week, we’d start the trip with breakfast at The Chastain , one of my favorite spots for a delicious, relaxing meal. Afterward, we’d stroll around the nearby park and explore the charming neighborhood. Another day, we’d walk along the BeltLine, making our way to Piedmont Park to soak in the green space and take in the skyline views. During the week, we’d rent bikes and join a guided tour to discover different neighborhoods, hot spots, and the rich historical sites of downtown Atlanta , it’s such a fun and engaging way to experience the city’s energy.
Art and culture would definitely be part of the itinerary. We’d visit the High Museum of Art for one of their inspiring exhibitions, and spend a day at the Georgia Aquarium, which is always impressive no matter how many times you go. We’d also take time to visit the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park, a powerful and moving place that’s so important to Atlanta’s history.
Throughout the week, we’d enjoy great food and shopping from the vibrant mix of restaurants and boutiques at Ponce City Market to the more upscale experience at the Shops at Buckhead. One evening, we’d have a lovely meal at Le Bilboquet, and on another night, we’d unwind with a drink at the elegant bar of the St. Regis.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’ve been deeply inspired by my first boss, Kay Van Doren, owner of Van Doren Designs. She is not only an extraordinary interior designer but also a wonderful person who shaped my early career. I’m also grateful to be a member of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers), which continues to be a great source of motivation and community. In addition, I’ve had the privilege of learning from two fabulous interior design business coaches, Melissa Galt and Salimah Mamdani, owner of Fully Booked Designer, both of whom have played a key role in my professional growth.
