We had the good fortune of connecting with Sandra Sutton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sandra, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I’ve always been a huge risk-taker. Over the past year, I’ve learned the importance of taking risk. I discovered that being comfortable with being uncomfortable propelled me into new places. Stepping out of vulnerability into a space of confidence was highly uncomfortable, but I became fully persuaded and determined to move into the lane assigned to me. In that lane, I wrote my book and started the Girl Made Worthy movement. In 2020, I decided to use my personal experiences to teach women self-worth, self-healing, the value of forgiveness, and ultimately, how to believe in themselves again. The reward in taking risks is knowing that it compels others to show up when I show up.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Girl Made Worthy, is a movement that brings hope to a generation of women searching for her worth, her voice, her peace, and the freedom to reclaim her power. We host physical events that allow women to Dream Big, take ownership and accountability of their future, and apply the knowledge and skills required to attain a deeper understanding of their self-worth.

We take women from ideas to dreams and aspirations to centerstage of their life teaching them how to apply, set goals, and attain them. We bring a testament of what life has to offer and how they can manifest, create and acquire things they dream of. We bring in the real experiences. As the founder of Girl Made Worthy, we provide physical hands-on accountability and leadership in a technological world. Even though we’re virtual we keep the authentic experience of being able to physically commune. Where everyone is trying to have a stage we have created a platform that all women can stand on and that is how we show up differently.

I am where I am today because of my trust in God, having self-discipline, a focus mindset and remaining teachable. Understanding things won’t always be perfect but refusing to quit. I opened myself up to everything I was capable of achieving. I live with no limits and allow abundance to flow towards me. It definitely wasn’t easy, but I choose to be positive in every situation. I choose to surround myself with positive people. I choose to fill my cup when I see it running empty.

My top three lessons I’ve learned along the way is understanding that starting small can turn into big results, to give myself grace through the journey, and that it’s always a good day to begin again.

I just want the world to know is that your being is simply enough, who you were created to be is enough. It’s not something you have to work for or beg for. Your worthiness is your birthright. It is my desire for every woman to GET TO WORTHY and to BELIEVE in herself again.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love some good Jazz music so I would take them to St. James Live. The atmosphere goes unmatched! The vibe, food selection, and grand hall are phenomenal. I would take them to Atlantic Station to enjoy a full day of shopping then we would grab a delicious Mexican lunch at Donovan’s. I’m a southern gal, so I have to, I have some good old sweet tea and fried chicken so, I would take her to Paschal’s for their chicken and waffles and Slutty Vegan for a good ol’ vegan burger. We would visit the Georgia Aquarium, visit the Zoo to meet the pandas, and if it’s football season, we would catch an Atlanta Falcon game. Go Falcons!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

I dedicate this shoutout to God and my parents because without them I would not be where I am today. There aren’t enough words to describe how grateful I am for who God is in my life. Life would have gone differently if he wasn’t the God that waits for us. Because of his vision, guidance and direction I’m evolving into the woman he’s created me to be. My parents, Ernest and Valeria Sutton, have walked with me through every journey with unconditional love and grace. Their life of integrity, dedication, doubtless faith and support continues to play a part in my life today.

Lastly, I want to thank my mentors, siblings and friends who have supported me from the very beginning and the women who motivate me daily to keep pushing and to never quit.
