We had the good fortune of connecting with Sana Jawaid and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sana, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
I believe for each individual that happiness means different things. For me, happiness is being able to enjoy little moments, eating a good meal, going on nature walks, or exploring new coffee shops. I feel that all of these things bring me joy because they feel meaningful. I feel that I am being myself authentically while enjoying these moments.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started my food blog for fun to document my love of food of various cuisines. I have been running it since 2016. I am grateful for my followers as I have grown my account. Sometimes, it gets challenging to document content and post weekly while also working full time. However, I post as much as I can and try to stay consistent with at least doing it once a week or every other week. I believe it is possible to grow your social media engagement as long as you are consistent with it and tag other accounts as well. From my food blog, I hope my followers discover new food places to try and also find the joy I do in trying these new places.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For a week long trip, I would want to take them to Ponce City Market and the Beltline, the Coke Factory, Georgia Aquarium, and the Buckhead Shoppes. For eating and drinking, I would want to go Murphy’s, Chic fil A, Alon’s, and Buttermilk Kitchen for breakfast/brunch. For lunch, I would want to go to Shake Shack, Anticos, True Food Kitchen, and Bartaco. For dinner, I would want to go to Canoe, St. Cecilia’s, Gypsy Kitchen, and The Optimist. I would also want to visit the hiking trails along the Chattahoochee River, Piedmont Park, and the Beltline.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give my shoutout to my family and friends. They encourage me to keep going when I am feeling lost or at a standstill.
