Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a Visual Artist and Cinematographer/Photographer in Atlanta, Georgia. i use my imagination and passion to help bring people’s vision to life.

What sets me apart from others in this field is the fact that I immigrated here from Nigeria by myself at 17. in 2017 and i have made myself one of the hardest working people my field, I work 90 hours a week on average.

The proudest moment I’ve had in my career is taking a leap of faith and quitting my warehouse job in early 202o during the pandemic to take on photography/videography full-time. and i’m just excited about the future and what it hold for me.

Growing up, Samuel expressed himself through sports, but while living in South Africa, post-high school, I discovered my gift for content creation and media production.

It hasn’t been a smooth road. The main struggles I’ve faced is surviving in a new environment/country and having the time and money to invest in myself. I moved across the continent in search for something better. I worked 12-hour shifts at a warehouse job just to get by. I didn’t have the time and money to put into videography. I was exhausted, drained from doing work I didn’t love. I was able to overcome all this by believing in my own ability, taking risks and surroundings myself around people that believe in my cause

Lessons I could say I have learned is never give up on your goals and dreams, always be humble and open to learn everyday from everyone mostly from people that in the same field as yourself. Sometimes you have to serve to get to your goal to acquire knowledge so be ready to serve

My videography and photography business is called SABO Media. I specialize in events and creative content videos like weddings, travel cinematic videos, and studio photography. I’m best known for event videos and travel cinematic videos as I contribute to creative video challenges by popular Youtubers.
Samuel’s ultimate goal is to inspire people to believe in themselves. i hopes to bring positive change to everyone i encounters in his journey of life.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Atlanta has so much to offer, no matter what kinds of things you’re into; Atlanta has something for you. Personally, I love a nature scene, so The Garden Room would definitely be one of the first places I’d take a friend to eat if they were visiting my city. This place will give you such an exotic experience, from the atmosphere, to the entertainers, down to the unique dishes they serve. There’s nothing that can compare to this nature-themed restaurant with floral walls and marble tabletops; The Garden Room lives up to its name!
Another place I’d take someone visiting my city is the Atlanta Botanical Garden! It’s a huge flower garden covered with walking trails, fountains and small pounds. This place is perfect for anyone who loves nature as much as I do, not to mention the environment is so peaceful and breathtaking, it’s a great place to get away from the hustle of the city.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Definitely God because i believe it not just with my power or anything but by his graces. Then my friend and also co-worker. daka david (dakadavid_)
calvin maurice (calvinmauricemedia) they helped to grow
