We had the good fortune of connecting with Sage and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sage, what inspires you?
I get inspired by just about anything that peaks my interest. Fictional characters, music, epicurean philosophy, almost any form of art, the people I know, the list goes on. I like to take my interests in for exactly what they are and integrate them in my life while then I portray my take on these things so it’s still me.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
When it comes to my art, essentially it’s just me delineating my imagination in any way i can. It never has to look perfect because everyone’s conscience is going to process it in their own way.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of the best places I’ve been to here would probably be Piedmont Park and Little Five Points. I’m not a native but I really like being around people and life in general. It keeps me grounded and attached to the reality of everything around me.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
One person who deserves most if not all the credit ever would be my fiancée, Sasha. Nothing could ever come close to how hard she goes everyday. The way her energy captivates other people and the very essence of her being is something you just can’t help but to feel uplifted by.
