We had the good fortune of connecting with Sage Monroe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sage, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Way before I ever knew what success was, I had imagination. Having an imaginative spirit has always been the fire fueling all of my “successes”. I chalk up my ability to be a youthful and dreamy visionary to my relationship with my inner child. Monroe Holistics was created sheerly out of the love I possess for my community and the yearning I have for the collective healing. Entering into the realm of healing whether physically or energetically is not a journey you can flourish in completely off of logical and analytical thinking processes. I was called to let my inner child play and roam free in the fun colors I use in my brand as well as in the youthful, loving energy we bring to every clients healing experience.

I feel that with the pure love for the art of the brand stemming from my inner child; I am able to not only build something beautiful but sustain it. As an entrepreneur, “creative director” is just one of the many hats I wear. At times when my other responsibilities become to heavy, my inner child comes forth and reminds me why I started. Not just that, but she also helps me pivot my creative approach so that I could continue to have fun with it.

Having a healthy relationship with my inner child is a daily process and took a slew of interpersonal healing that I’ve practiced over the years. I personally know that without that fragile and divine connection, my imagination would be clouded and the same love I deliver to the process now simply wouldn’t be. She is the most important factor behind my success.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I birthed my company in Atlanta, GA back in 2020 in the midst of one of the most devastating times our world has collectively faced. Four years, 8 therapist, 1 breath work practitioner, a sound healing professional and an IV hydration Nurse later, I was able to build a team and pursue my dreams of working remotely anywhere I desire in the world at just 25 years old. Let me explain how.

I chased my purpose and not the money.

God single handedly placed me in the right environments, around the right people so I could receive mentorship and opportunities and all I had to do was be obedient. I am someone who firmly believes in ” Divine alignment” and this path was written for me before I even knew I wanted to be a business owner, I simply just did what I loved and what I thought was right. It definitely was scary having to trust the unknown, quitting my day job only one year into my business to pursue it full time, hiring on other therapist that I had to trust to uphold company standards and policies, and then stepping back as a service provider into a managing position because I felt called to a bigger mission beginning in Costa Rica.

Ive learned so much and made plenty of mistakes along my journey but above all God and my intuition has got me this far that those things are my compass and road map in my journey. God, my spiritual team, my ancestors and my tribe in the physical realm has ben here every step of the way, uplifting, empowering and cheering me on.

This is my souls work, and when we replace fear with God there’s no limits to what we can create. This journey is bigger than me and I am allowing myself to be used by the highest light of love. Life just keeps getting better, dreams keep being realized, healing continues to extend from my community and beyond because of obidience.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shoutout BLACK WOMEN!!! From my mother to my mentors and through the entire metro Atlanta area, y’all uplifted me, used your hard earned coins to invest in me thus investing in yourselves simultaneously. Without Black Women I simply wouldn’t be here, not this successful, not this wise and honestly not even on this planet ( S/O to my mama one more again).

Everything I do is for the GWORLS because everything that the gworls have done for me. I have been so inspired, nurtured and boosted confidently simply watching other Black Women love authentically. When we heal the whole world is heals for we are the mother of all human beings on this beautiful planet. I truly believe that although it is a big responsibility that shouldn’t be all our own, Black Women will single handedly bring the world back into divine balance. There’s no love like ours, no one does divine femininity like us, we are the beginning and we’ll be the end.

Black Women, I love and appreciate you dearly.
