We had the good fortune of connecting with Rosskie The DJay and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rosskie, how do you think about risk?
Everything you do in life you have to take risks especially if you want to be successful. Taking risks has helped me grow and navigate as a brand, learning the dos and don’t of the entertainment industry.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m always taking live risks while if I visualize doing it during an event ill most likely try it at an event. I get most excited when I pull off a hard transition. I got to where I’m at now by staying consistent and being open-minded, and not it was not easy and I’m still growing to this day. The two biggest lessons I’ve learned along the way are to always be open to learning new information and remember your brand is bigger than just music. I’m a private event specialist (Weddings, Corporate Events, Birthday Parties, Etc.) I take everything my clients care about into consideration always making sure my clients are having the time of their lives that’s where the slogan “THE PEOPLE’s DJAY” comes from. I’m always throwing a people’s party no matter the crowd or music genre requested.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
This is my little itinerary

Mondays – would take them to all the tourist spots during the daytime and nightfall finish it off at an R&B Mondays for the soul.

Tuesdays – Tuesdays Is all about the deals Taco Tuesday at my favorite spots one being views with $2 tacos and $2 lamb chops and the others any lounge with good deals.

Wednesdays – Humpday Wednesdays can either go two ways either another R&B night or you can get lit on Edgewood or in Buckhead.

Thursdays – Thursdays is the basically pre-Fridays which is the beginning of the weekend so we start off at a happy hour before we hit the lounges or clubs.

Fridays & Saturdays – Fri thru Sat. is all about the day parties during the day at some of the best restaurants and, when 9 pm hits its all about the bottles, baddies, and sections at clubs like opium, gold room and embr.

Sunday – sundays only lead to one place brunch brunch brunch !!!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are a handful of people who have just walked in my life whether it was from me just meeting them in public or me reaching out. DJ Miles of The DJ Team, DJ Deemoney of Major Ego Ent.., DJ Hershey of Hot 1079, and a lot more to be named.
