We had the good fortune of connecting with ROSIE THAMES and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi ROSIE, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
The principles that have propelled my success in both life and business are encapsulated in a formula I’ve coined as R.I.S.E., signifying:

1. Resilience (Mindset is Everything) – Instilling a mindset that fortifies against challenges and hardships, recognizing that adversity is not meant to destroy but to foster development. In the crucible of life and business, what doesn’t break you serves to make you stronger.

2. Intentional Goals: Remaining focused on your goals and dreams without succumbing to distractions or dwelling excessively on challenges. Intentionality is the compass that guides us through turbulent times.

3. Steadfast In Your Faith – Grounding myself in faith, I draw strength from my foundational beliefs. Romans 8:28 serves as an unwavering pillar, asserting that “All things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose.”

4. Embrace New Opportunities – Encountering challenges opens the door to new opportunities. Within every obstacle lies the potential for personal growth and the chance to evolve into the best version of oneself. Sometimes, stepping back allows us to see the full picture and seize the opportunities presented by adversity.

What should our readers know about your business?
Rosie Thames is a proud mother, retired combat veteran, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Growing 2 Greatness Empire, and creator of the Bestsellers Unleashed Coaching Program. She is also the visionary of the Woman R.I.S.E movement, four times International Bestselling Author, Bestselling Book Coach, Master Storyteller, Keynote Speaker, and Women Empowerment leader and mentor.

Rosie was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. At 19, she received a scholarship to pursue her dream of being a pilot and became the first student in her school and the only person in her family to receive a Private Pilot’s License. In 2000, she migrated to the United States and quickly enlisted in the Air Force in June of 2001, where she worked as a Vehicle
Mechanic and a Paralegal. Rosie served her country honorably for 20 years with tours in hostile areas such as Balad, Iraq during the War on Terrorism and Operation Enduring Freedom.

Rosie is always open to new ideas and ventures and is not afraid to seize opportunities presented to her. As a young Airman, she started her entrepreneurial journey in network marketing, where she and her business partner created a massive organization and built a multiple six-figure business by teaching people financial literacy, how to build generational wealth, and how to leave a legacy. They are very passionate about personal and professional growth and development and devoted significant time to mentoring, teaching, and helping their team members to achieve success. Rosie and her business partner became top leaders and trainers in their field and, in 2020, became the first black couple to reach the highest level and won the Eagle Award as top income producers for that year.

Due to her personal experience of achieving success and overcoming adversities, failures, setbacks, trauma, and rejection, Rosie started coaching and teaching women how to boldly tell their stories and make an indelible mark in the world. Upon retirement from the military, she created a mindset, accountability, transformational, empowerment, and mentorship
program designed for women and teenage girls (preparing/equipping them for adulthood and the real world), helping them to become more resilient, teaching them how to overcome obstacles, and turning their adversities into their advantage.

Rosie and her team empower women of all ages and walks of life to unleash their voices and tell their stories through author coaching, writing, and publishing a best-selling book. This women empowerment leader and author coach is passionate about helping women turn their pain into passion, purpose, and power while teaching them how to make a profit.

Her program provides an outlet for healing by teaching women how to process grief and trauma through writing
therapy. It empowers them to leverage the lessons from their adversities, along with the skills and knowledge
gained, to thrive in today’s world.

Women enrolled in her program can benefit from the following:
• Turn their grief and trauma into a powerful story
• Learn how to tell their story boldly
• Create a positive impact in their communities
• Publish a best-selling book
• Create a platform to share their stories around the world
• Become sought-after speakers

To date, Coach Rosie has helped over 23 individuals become bestselling authors, sought-after speakers landing contracts up to $25,000, impact makers within their communities, and world changers. As a result of her work, she has helped to change cultures and laws in foreign nations, particularly South Sudan, concerning issues around forced marriages/child marriages, gender-based violence, and high dowry prices highlighted in the published work of one of her authors.

Rosie enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, serving in her local church and community, and seeking
opportunities to network, connect, and collaborate with like-minded individuals to reach the masses and have
greater influence and impact.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I have guests coming into town, I would give them a nice treat of the Riverwalk in downtown San Antonio, TX. We would go on the boat tour for sure to get a historical tour of that area… it’s absolutely breathtaking. Then we would either eat at the Sugar Factory on the Riverwalk, or I would take them to Snooze…the best breakfast joint I’ve ever been to, period! Next, I would take them to La Cantera, which is an outdoor mall in the uptown area. On Sunday I would take them for an amazing worship experience at Living Way Church. After church on Sunday, I would then take them to the Pearl downtown…the atmosphere is exquisite.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The Bible is my success blueprint and my primary source for personal growth and development. Everything else in my life is like an extra bonus. However, I do want to recognize a few people who played a crucial role in my success:

1. My Mom, Gloria Yvonne Boyd:
– Her life story is a powerful lesson in resilience. She was an extraordinary woman with incredible strength. I appreciate the indirect lessons she taught me about life and overcoming challenges.

2. Rich Thames:
– You’ve been a significant part of my journey over the past 20 years, through both the good years and the bad years. I’ve learned a lot valuable lessons through all the seasons. Now I see it all as part of developing me into the woman I’m becoming. Thank you!

3. Laylah, Richard, LeBron:
– You are my biggest motivation. You’re the reason I keep pushing and fighting every day. You are the reason I rise each day!

4. Loved ones and supporters:
– Thank you so much for believing in me, supporting me, and keeping me accountable. I can’t express my gratitude enough.

5. Haters:
– I see the challenges from haters as blessings. The opposition and resistance I’ve faced have been a driving force for me to push harder. A diamond shines brightest under pressure, so thank you.

Lastly, I want to highlight “Woman RISE” as a major factor in my success. The stories in this book have had a tremendous impact on my life. Seeing myself in each woman and each chapter gave me strength. If they can overcome challenges and succeed in their own way, then I can too!
