Meet Rosemary Stribling, MA, LMT | Licensed Massage Therapist & Doctor of Chiropractic Student

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rosemary Stribling, MA, LMT and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rosemary, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Throughout life, we have all had to make tough decisions that would help us progress in whatever we are doing. Life has a way of creating character in us when we have to take risks and deal with the outcomes that transpire of those risks. To be a business owner, you have to be willing to take risks! I would characterize myself as a resilient person and throughout my life and career I have had to take several risks to get where I am today. Some outcomes were better than others, but they all carved out the pathway of my life experiences and success. With risk you have to look at each and every possible outcome and determine which will help you attain your goals and how you want to “predict” your future, but be ready for things to go in any direction.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Having been a former college athlete, I went through my fair share of athletic injuries and personally knew how debilitating pain could get. A lot of the injuries I sustained as an athlete, could have been prevented had I better understood my body and what it needed to perform at an optimal level. I started my practice focusing on targeting athletes and assisting with the injury prevention and sport recovery aspects because I could better identify with some of the physical challenges they dealt with. As my practice grew, I opened myself to working with various populations and instead focusing on how I could help alleviate their pain and improve their overall wellness.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First of all, big shoutout to my mother. She was definitely my role model who helped me to discover my inner strength and show me how to defy odds with my work ethic. There were several different people throughout my journey that were mentors and always gave me the “kick in the butt” I needed or encourage me when I doubted myself. Shoutout to Deb Guzman of “Galene Effleurage” and Ms. Nubia of “Nubiance Holistic Detox”, who were very pivotal in my development as a massage therapist, as well as an entrepreneur. Love you!
