Meet Ronny DoGood | Recording Artist, Producer, Songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ronny DoGood and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ronny, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
Im about to drop my debut project as Ronny DoGood titled “Chill Mickelson”. Its a dive into my life and my mental state growing up and dealing with depression, grief and success. On the surface level it represents my love for golf. As i played D1 Golf in College and fell in love with the game at the same time I started making music.
For my career I would love to be a medium for the youth the same way my idols music were for me. The idea that lyrics and message can save lives when people feel like they have no where to turn to is extremely special and important. Its why I love music. Im blessed to be paid to create at a professional level. Anything else is icing on the cake.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started making music in the 7th grade, and immediately fell in love with recording myself. After college I was looking for opportunities to get into the music industry, and i decided that moving to Atlanta and getting an internship at Astro Studios would be the best move for me. That quickly provided an environment for me to network and foster relationships with industry professionals and producers alike. It was not easy at first, the late hours and working with some of the most famous artist was extremely demanding/overwhelming. The lessons I learned were that respect and hardwork can get you a long way. I want people to know that Ronny DoGood stands for love and the belief that you can do anything you want in life and be happy.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Id probably take them to the Optimist which is a banging seafood spot off of howell mill. Rays On The River is another must. I love going to watch the Braves play. It reminds me of announcing my brothers baseball games back in high school. During the World Series last year the Battery was absolutely lit. A walk/stroll on the beltline is another great way to get outside and pop into a few bars over there. I also enjoy going to one of the national park trails on the chatahoochee. I grew up in Virginia on the coast. Being grounded by the water is very special and relaxing.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
