We had the good fortune of connecting with Ronnika Warner and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ronnika, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve always wanted to start my own business with beauty. When the pandemic hit and I loss my job temporarily I thought to myself I should start my own business with makeup. Then I did my research and I was also inspired by two charm business entrepreneurs that are successful and I fell in love with bangles
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I sell handmade bangles and bracelets. I also sell mink lashes, pigmented lipgloss and lip oils. I would say not giving up. It was not easy for me. I overcame the challenges by not giving up on myself when I didn’t make any sales and even though I’m still struggling getting sales I’m not going to give up on my hard work. I hope to inspire people to go for your goals and even if you feel like giving up don’t give up you got it and it will get better.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live in the Cleveland area so I would say go downtown to a nice restaurant or go to the bar and lounge in the flats
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shout out my family and friends who supported my business and also to the pop up shop Grown and Classy Trunk Show host Deborah Gamble for having me as a vendor
