Meet Rondell Positive | Reggae Recording Artiste Mentor, Entrepreneur, Co-Founder of Purpose Summit International

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rondell Positive and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rondell, how do you think about risk?
Time and chance are present in all things. I’ve always believed that what is to happen, happens when I apply the principles that are required, and risk, or should I say “investment”, in one’s self is one of the paramount principles. I am created for a special purpose, a destiny that possess the impact and greater than that of a Bob Marley, Myles Munroe, Martin Luther King or Nelson Mandella and Christ Himself; so everything in my life is absolutely risky. My wife Lotoya and I would take loans from banks and Credit Unions to fund scholarships for students if the fundraiser we spearheaded did not bring in the funds. I grew up in a house and with parents who taught me how to have faith and be faithful so like a crazy person I’m the optimist in the worst of experiences. I have a saying and song “It’s Happening For Me” All things are working for my good. So I really don’t see it as risk, but rather the environment or opportunity for growth. Seeds can never live out their destiny of reproducing themselves if they don’t make it to soil. In that soil are all sorts of insects seeking out food, but the seed’s potential is only realized through that process of being planted in that environment. Everything that Rondell Positive is and is becoming is as a result of the understanding that, I’m only here in this world because I was chosen as THE ONE out of 600,000,000…What are the chances? Lol. So all I am in career, marriage, business, family, you name it, Is as a result of tough environments.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Rondell Positive is revolutionary recording artiste, purpose activator, husband, father and voice of the nations. Rondell is the founder of a growing underground movement called Purpose Summit International and Designed for Purpose. I am different from every other artiste in that, every project produced, every song written, every stage opened to me is used to help humanity answer the five most powerful questions man seeks to answer. 1. Who am I?-Identity, Where am I from?- Origin/Source, Why am I here?-Purpose, What can I do?-Potential and Where am I going?-Destiny. I’m different because I live in the awareness that the next generation is the next nation.

I am most excited about one of my latest releases “The Mirror” a song that took 10 years to be written and produced. This song has been compared to songs of the greats, Bob Marley and Michael Jackson and a song for humanity in the twenty-first century. I’m also excited that I am now in a space where the music can reach millions of people at once.

The good success I have encountered is as a result of genuine hard work, submission to great mentors, investment of an abundance of time and money. Creating genuine relationship and submitting to God’s purpose for my life have also played a vital role in my journey.

There are no easy roads to good success and so yes there were hundreds of challenges. How I over came was not I, but Christ is me. The principles of diligence, focus virtue, knowledge, love for humanity, kindness, perseverance and the call of purpose have kept me going. Additionally knowing my destination is also my major driving force second to a legacy that will impact several generations that will follow my time on earth.

I have learnt some really great and helpful lessons, I’ve learnt that it is the purpose that I carry that determined my design. I’ve learnt that my purpose preceded my production and that humanity needed me here. I learnt that challenges are only a result of my Manufacturer testing me in order that I will lack nothing and I can be warrantied. I’ve learnt that everything that forms to hinder my progress has been put there to build my strength. I’ve learnt to become a student of life and finally I’ve learnt to treasure my most important relationships, oneness with God and my immediate family.

My desire is that every individual in the world will encounter their purpose and come into the knowledge that they were born for Purpose, they are here for Purpose, the MUST live Purpose and don’t dare die without fulfilling Purpose. I would love the world to remember me like it remembers Jesus who said ‘It Is Finished” not I am finished! And that it is the accomplishment of my wife and I’s vision of “Activating Purpose, Transforming Nations, One Life at a Time” The world will say of my story not ” He was successful, but instead, ‘He died EMPTY”

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m from the greatest country on earth, the most beautiful and impactful spot on the planet. If I was to plan an itinerary for a friend visiting Jamaica I’d have them start with Portland. Reach Falls is a must then stopping at Boston Bay for the world renowned Jerked Pork with Roasted Breadfruit and Festivals for lunch. Blue Lagoon would definitely be the next stop before heading to the beach at the famous Frenchman’s Cove. before checking in at Geejam Hotel in the picturesque hills of San San. On entering Port Antonio Piggy’s Jerk Chicken a spot feature in the last two James Bond films is the place to enjoy finger-licking juicy chicken marinated and jerked will Jamaican love and Scotch Bonnet Peppers. The experience would see my friend traveling west to Ocho Rios to enjoy Dunn’s River Falls, Mystic Mountains for ziplining, Chukka Adventures, Little Dave’s Seafood Restaurant, The Montego Bay experience would definitely include the historic Rose Hall Great House. Over in Negril the encounter of the most beautiful stretch of white sand beaches on can experience would be a must have experience. Treasure Beach St. Elizabeth, YS Falls and Milk River Mineral Bath, I would also invite them to spend at least 2 days exploring the historic sites of Kingston and St. Andrew. A must have on the list is experiencing the entertainment lifestyle of Jamaica and Jamaicans. For this Kingston is the Mecca.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
No great story, no great life, no great impact is achieved individually. I have been blessed to be influenced by some of the greatest visionaries through mentorship, partnerships and friendships. I must recognize firstly the giver of influence, purpose, giftings and authority God Almighty. Secondly my parents Alfred and Winnifred Allen who began mentoring me very early to become first a man of honor and an impact on the world. My life has become impactful throughout nations because I have been nurtured by the teachings Dr. Myles Munroe, mentored by, Dr. Peter and Patricia Morgan, Dr. Dave Barrows, the life of Nelson Mandela, Marcus Garvey and Martin Luther King. Musically I must give credit to Bob Marley, his straightforwardness to fight injustice and world systems have impacted my life. Jermaine Edward has played a vital role in my life and story as the first producer who really understood the heart of the gift I have been given. Last but absolutely not least my wife Lotoya and our three young queens Li-Ann, Jhanari and Reign are my greatest motivation.
