Meet Rolando Nava | Tattoo studio owner and Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rolando Nava and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rolando, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
My inspiration in opening a business was for many reasons. 1. to be able to be financially free and be able to help my family/loved ones be in a position to be financially free as well. 2. show the younger generation and anyone else that needs motivation that for sure anything is possible once you put your heart and mind to it. Also my plan is in the near future to be able to show love back to the community by helping out people in need. I also like to provide quality services for people while also giving them a great price.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The tattoo industry is an extremely tough business, one for the reason that most people don’t want to show you no love or anything about the business. They feel like you will learn and will try and take everything from them. Which in most cases it might be true in any business, it shouldn’t stop you from seeing good in people. I took a rough path in this career forced to teach myself and learn from screwing my buddies up. I used to always say I’m not a quitter that one day I would become a good artist and start taking over. My younger brother Tony always said one day he wished to have a business with our name on it and boom that’s where Nava studios was born from making him part owner so he knew that it was possible and dreams do come true. So now slowly taking over from Atlanta to Lagrange GA we each work daily on how to better ourselves and provide the best quality service for the best price possible. So Nava studios is about showing people that we just don’t want your money but to build a family relationship. For you to know once you walk into Nava studios you don’t have to think you have to waste money, no you come in to an environment that wants you to feel comfortable make you laugh and make you feel apart of the family. today we live in a world so cruel and evil and we want to show to the world that there are still good people willing to share a laugh, jokes,stories or just sit and listen if you need a listening ear.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If we are talking Lagrange GA you have to most def check out the local home cooking spots. there are plenty from the food trucks to local BBQ joints or just your local home cooking buffet. when you type in food in Lagrange it instantly pops up and you will know what I mean. If you like to sit back and have a drink go to downtown Lagrange its a small Downtown area but it has nice bars to sit back watch sports and enjoy good atmospheres and drinks. One great thing about Lagrange is that we are home to Westpoint Lake, if you like water come out and grill on the lake, play some sports, go for a swim or bring a boat or even rent one and stay out on the water for a few hours. You are guaranteed a fun time no matter what you choose to do.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I love showing credit to my entire team, for the reason that if they weren’t with me I wouldn’t be anything in this world. I first have to start of with my immediate family, my mother which has always supported me in everything I do and is always by my side, my father which has always taught me to be humble no matter how far I get in life and has taught me the importance of my work ethics, my younger brother Tony Nava which is also part owner in the company who is our company’s photographer/videographer. At such a young age this young man has motivated me more than I could ever believe. My uncle and Aunt by the names of B and chulo they are my rock as well that have been there for me since birth and have always been there for me. I can repeat again that I wouldn’t be anywhere without them. To my sweet sister Iris which is the business manager and piercer for all her hard work she puts in to make sure the shop is in the position it needs to be and all her smiles as soon as every customer that walks in. My new brother by the name of Colton a young and talanted young man fresh graduate out of Lagrange College now apart of Nava studios. People like them push and drive you to want to do more and be better. A shout out to my artist Lobo by the name of Lobeezy this man has struggled a lot through life but yet keeps pushing and shows that no matter how low life puts you down you keep fighting and pushing. So to my entire team thank you guys without you there Is no Rolando Nava nor Nava studios.
