Hi Roland, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process, was more of creating personal wealth for my kids and freedom to enjoy loved ones.

What should our readers know about your business?
RKK Restaurant and Catering, is a concept created through my years of experience and training. It’s a concept where we bring international foods as well as local dishes, we are set apart from others by bringing quality food and services to the inner city being price competitive with a beautiful ambiance.

I have worked for other companies internationally as well as locally. I work hard and have dedicated myself to what ever task and duties I was assigned to, I made it a point of duty to learn as much as possible while gaining experience. I’ve always wanted to own my own establishment and with the experience , knowledge and dive I knew one day it would become possible. No it wasn’t easy and still isn’t, but if you love what you do, their is t any challenge that you can’t overcome . I’ve on many occasions thought of giving up, but that’s short lived lol because the next day it’s have if I never had any doubts. Can’t explain it, I just know I don’t quit.

I have learned that each day brings its own challenges as well as blessings, I lean that if you give it you all , you will see the results, just stay consistent.

Our brand is one that derived from a young man that believe that anything anyone can do we can do also, my live story is vast and deep and could never be explained only experienced. We strive to bring a culinary experience that can be a example to those who ho seek to venture into entrepreneurship of any kind.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, I have lots of friends that do visit and most of them like myself love beaches and rivers which Jamaica is full of. I usually start by booking our local Airbnb and for catering I do recommend RKK RESTAURANT AND CATERING, and for a more formal setting I would recommend Usain Bolt Tracks&Records as well as Fromage which I was apart of, parties, would be uptown Mondays , Bounty Sunday and any inner city Dance. As for tourist attractions, Duns-river falls, Dolphin cove, Bob Marley museum would be my starters. Let me add Jamaica is a experience within itself and I can say that some of the simplest things here can be most gratifying, for example: going to the country and picking fruits, to long walks in the mountains.
