We had the good fortune of connecting with Roji Aldashi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Roji, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I’m an early adopter of risk. Moving to this country in 1986 was challenging, but I overcame it and more. In business, Georgia is one of the toughest states for solar and renewables. Investing our life savings was risky, but we knew it was essential, and we have never looked back. No pain, no gain!

What should our readers know about your business?
Better Tomorrow solar is a solar energy company from sales, design to installation. I started Better Tomorrow Solar with a vision to help other see the value of sustainable living. Back in 2018, I was the only women owned solar installation company in Atlanta. One thing that sets us apart from others is that we listen to our customer and their needs. We do our best to deliver what is best for our customers to achieve their solar objectives.

Never give up and never accept No for an answer! Seek solutions in every challenge. Tomorrow is a new day and failure is an opportunity for us to improve and grow.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Atlanta has so many magical small town pockets & neighborhood: Downtown Roswell, Milton, Marietta, Peachtree Corner, Reynoldstown, Inman Park, VA Highland, But Decatur has my heart. It is the most beautiful quaint small town and I cannot imagine living anywhere else.

We would start with a stroll to downtown Decatur, Brick Store, Sushi Avenue, check out the shops, and then drive over to Ponce City Market to 12 Cocktail Bar for a cocktail. Then have dinner at La Semilla or Verdura Sincera Pizzeria.

So many choices and places to visit. I would add High Museum, Eddies Attic, Piedmont park, biking around the Beltline, and a couple meals on Buford highway to the list.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Kaveh Kamooneh, my husband, has always inspired me to take on new adventures. Having him as a supportive partner has made the transition to an entrepreneur easy. My mother and sister are strong women in my life and have been my influential mentors. They taught me there is never an obstacle I cannot overcome. They encouraged me to stand on my own two feet and make educated decisions. My family are my biggest cheerleaders!
