We had the good fortune of connecting with Rochelle Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rochelle, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The Processes of starting is hard but once you start and build momentum you’ll discover it wasn’t so hard.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
6twelve Magazine: A voice to the voiceless. I’m thankful God gave me a platform to reach people who are often unreachable. 6twelve is my autistic sons birthday, it has sparked conversations about mental health in the urban community. 6Twelve allows me to use the Celebrity voice to tell me story of how we live with autism or deal with mental illnesses.

Kandy Kiss Cosmetics: A beauty brand for the busy woman on the Go! Trendsetters, Fashionistas, MomPrenuers. I looove encouraging and inspiring women, i love to see them be resilent, determined, push thru their obstacles and look absolutely beautiful doing it!!!

6Twelve Marketing & Media Solutions: Simple, I am a Psychology and Marketing major. I created this business to assist the small businesses with services that I learned in my entrepreneurial journey that are expensive for the starting entrepreneur. I am driven by seeing people succeed when people say they would fail.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Im such a social introvert. I would say the Aquarium its so much to see and i am just a waterbug. Im not a club person but for food id say gotta try Slutty Vegan for the culture..

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
God is the author of my story. Along the entrepreneurial journey there are people God send to make deposit into a plan he designed, those people usually dont walk out the journey with you but are vital to the execution of his plan. I thank God for everything and everyone he sent to impart into me, to distract me, to create diversions, to steal from me, to teach me and pray for me. God deserves ALL the recognition noone else.
