We had the good fortune of connecting with Rochelle Boyce and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rochelle, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When it came time for me doing business, I would start something and I would stop it. It was a time in my life where I couldn’t figure out which way I wanted to go. I went from owning a smoothie business- my mom buying me blenders- to me owning a hat business, to she buying me a lot of hats. And she was like, ‘Rochelle, like, what are you doing?'”. In the midst of me starting my radio station, I was also a full time dj. I was on and off tour with artist like Future, Cash Out, Shawty Lo and more. I used to dj at Hot 98.1 Fm in Greenville, Sc as well. While doing there, I got tired of being a playlist dj, meaning the fm stations controlling what I could and couldn’t play. I also got tired of being told No to certain things, with that being said I ended up starting my own radio station which is 94.7 The Link. we started in Virginia 2019 and I ended branching off to Atlanta in 2021 because I wanted a larger following in a better market. By starting my business I wanted to give other entrepreneurs, indie artist, dos, radio host etc a platform to express themselves and be creative without anyone controlling what they discuss, play or how they move.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from others is that I am committed to my clients and my team. I am most proud of expanding my station. Being able to accompany many celebrities on tour. Such as Keri Hilson, Ying yang twins, Ashanti, Soulja boy, Wiz Kalifa, Snoop Dog, and the list continues. I got to where I am today because I stayed consistent and kept faith. No, it was not easy I overcame the challenges by staying head strong and I always looked for more avenues. The lessons I have learned along the way are to not trust everyone and not everyone deserves to work with you. I would like the world to know that 94.7 The Link is Atlanta’s number one party station and we cater to small businesses. We also cater to talent, entrepreneurs, brands, and more. We are looking to create more opportunities for DJ’S, radio host/ podcast, photographers, and videographers.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to Colony Square, Politan Row to eat and politic, its a great vibe, good food selection, we would go to Cru midtown because I love their drinks and food, another spot we would visit is Bar vegan inside of ponce city market. As far as night time fun, the new spot ” Your 3rd Spot ” would;d be a great hang out spot as well.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Yes, I definitely would love to shout out to my family for always supporting me no matter what. Secondly I’d like to shout out to Miami Mike, he is the CEO of Pte The Label and also Soulja Boy’s manager. He is one of the people who gave me a chance in the industry and opened so many doors for me.
