We had the good fortune of connecting with Rochard Simeon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rochard, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of our business is our ability to take sacrifices. Isaiah and I were taught that most small businesses fail due to beginning profits being put into the entrepreneurs rather than the business. What I mean by that is that when we first started our business, all revenue made was put back into the business. We did not pay ourselves, or you could say received our very own check, until a few months after. It is important to put the business as the top priority in order to make way for the future.

What should our readers know about your business?
We are a mobile detailing business, our business is called Ro n’ So Detailing. What sets apart from others is that we have been working all our lives and we are both only 20 years old. Isaiah has been doing landscaping since he was a kid and I have been playing competitively in basketball while bouncing from job to job due to moving. We got to where we are today by again, sacrifices. We missed out on the college experience and having fun early in order to be devoted to this business. It was a very challenging time; from dreaming about life at a party college to wasting loads of money. At the end of the day, life is a lesson, so obstacles were just something we had to push aside and look at the future goal. A huge lesson we learned is definitely honesty. A customer would rather trust someone who owns up to a mistake than someone who tries to cover it up. We would like the world to know that we will never stop trying to improve ourselves or our business. We have been hungry for too long just to stop at the finish line!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting the area, I would take them to Downtown Lawrenceville. There may not be plenty of things to do in this city, but Downtown is the staple. In Downtown Lawrenceville, you can walk around many stores and places to eat. My favorite place to eat there is Village Burger, but I love the interactions with others when I go to Paint With A Twist to paint.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We would like to first shoutout Shine Bright Detailing. Ben and Donovan over at Shine Bright Detailing have paved the way for us with all their tips and tricks. I remember when Donovan (Isaiah’s cousin) invited us over to his house for us to speak with him and Ben. Kid you not, we walked out of the house totally mind blown because the auto detailing world was so different from what we saw on Youtube videos. Ben told us to explain our ways of our business to him, then immediately after he said, “If you want success, forget about all of that”. He taught us efficient ways of handling our business without sugarcoating anything; it was truly a humbling experience. I would also like to shoutout our parents. Isaiah’s parents have had success with their landscaping business for plenty of years, so they would often tell their customers about our services. But, Isaiah’s dad gets us ready for the world as he never takes it easy on us, we learned to work for every single thing. My mother has always been in my corner encouraging us every step of the way.
