We had the good fortune of connecting with Robby Millar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Robby, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thoughts were to explore something out of the norm. Trucking was something that minorities never really knew how to capitalize from. When we thought of trucking, the only ideas that came to mind were to obtain a CDL license and drive. There’s so many ways to earn an income from trucking outside of driving. My cousin Alix and I have been teaching thousands of people the different ways of earning passive and non passive income in the trucking industry.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Good Energy Worldwide is a Trucking, Logistics and Consulting company. One of my major accomplishments was to partner with my cousin Alix Burton to create our Dispatch Mastery Course. One of my greatest challenges is to keep people motivated. The trucking industry is not easy at all and was never meant to be. If it was, then there would be no need for us to teach anything. The lessons that I’ve learned are that there are many people out there who are ambitious and want to elevate in life. It makes me feel that I serve a great purpose in life when I’ve played a role helping those people succeed. The other lessons that I’ve learned are that there are also people who just want to fast results. They want to learn something today and earn tomorrow without putting in any work. I have to constantly remind our members that they have joined a marathon and not a race!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite spots in Atlanta is my place!!!! Lol! Cru Lounge Alpharetta is definitely a vibe! We are open 7 days a week and we also have brunch on Sundays. But I will definitely mention Toast on Lenox is one of my favorite places for Breakfast/Brunch. Prior to owning Cru Alpharetta, I would frequently visit places like Divan, Rose Bar, Zari, Embr, and Xperience. The Aquarium is definitely a must visit in Atlanta as well.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I definitely would love to shoutout someone who used to be my General Manager, Wayne Schey. During my days working in the car industry. I learned organization skills and structure from Wayne. I operate all of my business with a sales driven mindset. Even with my restaurant and lounge (Cru Alpharetta), my partners and I are aligned with the mindset that every phone call is potential revenue. The next major recognition goes to my cousin Alix Burton. He’s the one that introduced the idea of trucking to me back in 2017. When I took a vested interest in our company Good Energy Worldwide, I took over the operations in less than 6 months and fast forward today, we have successfully trained and consulted over 30,000 people.
