We had the good fortune of connecting with Rob Malloy and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rob, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Work-life balance has evolved significantly for me over the years. In my earlier years, when my children were young, the balance tilted heavily towards family. As they grew older and became more independent, I was able to dedicate more time to my career. Now that my children are adults, the balance has shifted again. While I’m enjoying the freedom and flexibility that comes with this stage of life, I’m also navigating the complexities of aging parents and the joys of grandparenthood.
I believe that true balance is about finding harmony between different aspects of life. For me, this means prioritizing my purpose, spending quality time with loved ones, and taking care of my own well-being. While I’m open to the possibility of marriage, my primary focus is on walking in my purpose and cherishing the relationships I have with my family and friends.
As my parents age, I’m increasingly aware of the importance of being present and supportive. Balancing the demands of work, family, and personal life requires careful planning and prioritization. It’s about finding a rhythm that works for me and allows me to thrive in all areas of my life.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve always been driven by a desire to make a positive impact on the world. The Rob Malloy Brand is the umbrella under which I pursue my passions and create meaningful content. It’s a platform that allows me to walk authentically in my purpose.
One of my most exciting projects is the Pops and Son Conversations show and podcast. This platform allows me to connect with my son, Javan Anderson, and share our experiences and insights with the world. By discussing topics like fatherhood, relationships, and personal growth, we aim to inspire and uplift others.
I’m also passionate about helping people navigate the challenges of divorce. Successful After Divorce is a community-based platform designed to provide support, guidance, and resources to individuals going through this life transition. By offering online courses and a supportive community, we empower people to rebuild their lives and find happiness.
I believe that a strong sense of community is essential for personal growth and success. That’s why I’m committed to creating spaces where people can connect, learn, and support one another.
Beyond my creative endeavors, I’m also deeply committed to giving back to the community. My work with Men’s Health and Veterans Assistance in Macon, Georgia, allows me to make a tangible difference in the lives of others. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the positive impact of these efforts.
As I look to the future, I’m excited to be part of two full-length film projects. These projects offer new opportunities for me to explore my creativity and connect with audiences on a deeper level.
I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had and the people who have supported me along the way. I believe that by sharing my experiences and insights, I can inspire others to live their best lives.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
While Atlanta is a vibrant city with plenty to offer, I prefer a more intimate experience. As much as I love people, I’ve realized that in this digital age, being seen everywhere can dilute your brand. My social media reach has been independently audited at 7.6 million daily views, and I’ve learned that strategic visibility is key.
So, if my best friend were to visit, we’d likely escape the city’s hustle and bustle for a guys trip to the Georgia Mountains or a road trip to catch a game. I am a diehard Patriots fan and the Celtics are my favorite basketball team. If either team is playing somewhere close, we would more than likely take that road trip!
However, if we were to stay in the city, we’d definitely check out Krazy Karaoke, hosted by my friend and co-host, Core DJ Hershey from the Kiss Radio Show Live, the Morning Show on Powerhitz 93.9. It’s a fun and laid-back and there are locations all over the Metro Area. Check us out Monday – Friday from 6 am to 10 am est.
While I do get invited to exclusive events, I’m more drawn to meaningful experiences. It’s about quality over quantity. A quiet dinner, a heartfelt conversation, or a shared hobby can be far more fulfilling than a crowded party or a flashy event.
Ultimately, it’s about finding balance. While I’m passionate about my work and love connecting with people, I also value solitude and reflection. By prioritizing meaningful experiences, I’m able to recharge, stay focused, and continue to make a positive impact.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’ve been a father since I was a teen. I’ve grown and learned alongside my incredible children. Their love, patience, and understanding have shaped me into the man I am today. I can’t imagine my life without them.
To my eldest daughter, Kristina, thank you for your wisdom, strength, and unwavering support. You’ve always been a source of inspiration and a pillar of strength.
To my middle daughter, Robi, your creativity and infectious energy continue to amaze me. You’ve always had a unique perspective on the world, and I’m so proud of the person you’ve become.
And to my youngest daughter, Karrington, your kindness and compassion are truly inspiring. You have a heart of gold and a bright future ahead of you.
Finally to my only son, Javan, the co-host of the Pops and Son Conversations podcast. It’s an honor and a privilege to work alongside of you and contribute to a platform that inspires and uplifts others.
I am so grateful for each of you and the joy you bring to my life.
I have to give a shoutout to my family! The Malloys!!! As the youngest of four, I’ve had the privilege of learning from my older siblings, David, Sherry and Shanda and I had blessing of the wisdom of my parents. Their guidance and love have shaped my life in countless ways. My parents have been together for more than 60 years. Seeing how they interact has been one of the greatest experiences in my life. They made life look easy while growing up. As an adult, I can now fully appreciate all the sacrifices that they made to make it look easy.
And finally, I want to thank all of you who support my brands: Rob Malloy Brand, Pops and Son Conversations, and Keeping Veterans Fit. Your support has enabled me to make a positive impact on my community and beyond.
