We had the good fortune of connecting with Rob: Earth-One and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rob: Earth-One, what inspires you?

As a professional artist, I’m inspired by other people who are constantly working to further themselves in their craft. It encourages me to continue down my own path.

As far as the material goes, I’m inspired by the real-life conversations that I have with people. Speaking with certain people can sometimes be very insightful. There have been many times where I’ve learned something about myself, while writing something inspired by a conversation I had with someone. Whether a friend or stranger, the impact could be just as important.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m both proud and excited about the upcoming music that I’ll be releasing. I feel like I’ve really been expanding the dimensions within my sound to create something truly special. I’ve been experimenting with new sounds and subgenres and it’s been really fun. I’m having the most fun I’ve ever had making music and I also feel like this is my best work to-date. My listeners will definitely be able to hear my wide range of influences. I’ve always wanted to make the music I’m making now and I feel like this is the perfect time.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We’d probably just hit every live music venue in the city…and eat lots of wings & hard apple ciders, haha. I don’t even think I have a favorite wing spot,..chicken is chicken to me!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to shoutout my brother, Louis.

We’re not blood brothers, but might as well be. We met around December 2016 through music (he’s also a musician). Louis. is a very talented rapper, producer, and DJ. Over the years, he’s helped me realize the true importance of what we do as artists. We’ve had a lot of very insightful conversations about music, as it relates to our personal lives and spiritual journeys. I never really thought of it on that level, until discussing it with him. He always makes it a point to remind me that I’d be important, even if I weren’t a musician. I’m still not sure I believe that, but that’s what makes these conversations special.
