Meet Rita Patel: Travel Advisor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rita Patel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rita, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
As an entrepreneur with a starting business in retail, then hospitality, restauranteur and a make up CEO it was time for me to step into my next venture Travel! Of course I still have my successful cafe in Suwanee, Georgia, which is 10 years strong but in my spare time, I’m not one to just sit around. I’m one of those motivated individuals that constantly has to be doing something, staying busy and keeping me on my toes. After 20 years of traveling and over 45 countries independently traveled, friends and family were always advising me why I didn’t do this as a business. After a much thought process I contacted a friend of mine that is in the travel business and she consulted me on how it works etc. So here I am, now a travel advisor and booking some of the most incredible trips for my clients in top rated properties around the world. My specialty is creating customized trips for my clients that meet their budgets without having to go on pesky tours or firm itineraries. I also help my clients with booking corporate retreats, villas for family reunions, Girls Getaway, Guys Getaway, honeymoons and once in a lifetime adventures around the world. I look after my clients from the moment they pick up the phone and call me to the time they close their front door from their return. I’m with them every step of the way.

What should our readers know about your business?
With over 31 years in successful business ownerships with my husband, I’ve gained a vast experience across multiple industries. My knowledge in marketing, operations and finance has played a huge part in my success. Along with some downfalls, I’ve learned never to trust anyone and to fully control and manage operations and finance in all of my businesses. My vision came to life as “Stylish Escapades” 5 star trips to meet everyone’s budget. I’ve been crafting my own private journeys around the world for more than 30 years and understand how different people like (or need) to travel. I build clients private itineraries around their interests, likes, dislikes, hopes and dreams, even sprinkling in a few surprises along the way. I look after my clients from the moment they pick up the phone to call me to the time they close the front door upon on their return. I’m with them from start to finish, every step of the way. My clients are spoiled with choices from fully staffed, villas in Asia to the Mediterranean, to luxury resorts in the Caribbean and worldwide. Our property portfolio has something for everyone, from leading brand hotels to hidden gem boutique hotels. I may not be the cheapest but you’ll never pay over the odds for any vacation or experience. I believe that our service and expertise makes our value for money hard to beat.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My best friend of over 31 years Kala Patel. We both have had a passion for travel for years. We’ve probably traveled over 20 countries together, creating memories to last a lifetime. I don’t think we have a favorite country as we make the most of every trip and literally have the best trip every single time. We’ve learned each other’s habits so we’re the perfect travel buddies. Another one of my inspirations is the movie “Around The World In 80 Days” as a child one of my all time favorite movies.
