We had the good fortune of connecting with Rikkia Holmes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rikkia, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
As an Entrepreneur for over 20 years, many of the habits that help me succeed are discipline, time management, connecting with people, counterbalance, adding value to others, keeping a positive mindset, and operating my business like a business and not a hobby. Over the years each of these habits and many others have been paramount to my past success and ongoing success in my businesses. Developing these habits early on and being consistent will surely set you up for success.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have been an Entrepreneur of a myriad of businesses for over 20 years. Currently I am a REALTOR® licensed in both Georgia and Alabama. I have been helping my clients buy, sell, invest, and build wealth in real estate since 2003. I am extremely zealous about all things real estate! Helping my clients achieve their real estate goals is my true passion and I pride myself in offering a service of excellence from start to finish. Whether it’s a client looking to sell their home, a first-time homebuyer, a new or seasoned Investor, etc., I have the resources, experience, knowledge, dedication, and work ethic to help them achieve their goals. I am also a Real Estate Investor and have a current portfolio of property that I am constantly growing.

I went to the University of Alabama and have a B.S. in Accounting and Business, and started my tax firm Precision Tax & Financial Services, Inc. over 20 years ago. I enjoy helping others in all 50 States understand their personal and business taxes, aiding in setting them up for financial success.

I have also been helping others with Business Formation services for over 10 years as a Certified Paralegal. Starting out operating and functioning like a bonafide business, and properly structuring and launching your business is monumental. Happily helping others start their businesses, and being able to see and hear of their success over the years will never get old!

I am most proud of being able to add value to the lives of others. I have a countless number of clients all over the world and I am grateful that they trust me to continue to be of help to them and their family and friends.

Getting to where I am today in business has definitely been a journey and an ongoing learning process. My first corporate job out of college was at Citizens Trust Bank in Atlanta as a Management Associate, and I learned some invaluable tools there that I still use to this day. There is where my love for real estate escalated. Leaving Corporate America after only 2 years after graduating college was a huge leap of faith for me. Once I left the bank, I focused solely on my tax accounting and real estate businesses. About 5 years into my real estate career, the market crashed in 2008. I went from renovating and flipping tons of property all over Atlanta, to focusing on shortsale and foreclosure properties. This was a major shift that came with its challenges, but thankfully I was able to keep afloat with real estate as well as my other businesses. s grateful for the ebb I have learned some crucial lessons along the way, and resilience for sure is one at the top of the list. That along with the importance of being able to shift and adjust when necessary. Gratitude is also a major lesson I have learned and am still practicing to this day. There are many other lessons of course, but I will end it with relationships. Building and cultivating relationships is one of THE most important lessons I have ever learned in business, as well as my personal life.

From my story, I hope others see in me an ambitious woman that started out in life with very humble beginnings, but always had dreams and goals for more. Working hard, staying productive and positive, pushing through adversity, helping others, and my faith have all contributed to who and where I am today. When working with me, you will get an honest, hard working, positive, and results driven individual that is passionate about helping you reach your goals with excellence!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d definitely like to shout out to all of those who have supported me over the years, family, friends, and clients! It’s a huge blessing for others to believe in you and choose you over the competition to do business with, so I do not take it lightly. As a Realtor, Tax Accountant, and Certified Paralegal, I have had countless business transactions over the years, and I feel extremely grateful for those that have trusted me to provide them a service of value. I’d also like to shoutout those who have mentored and helped me grow and evolve over the years personally and professionally. With their guidance, insight, and support, I have an extreme business acumen and a personal value system that I am proud of. Last but certainly not least, shoutout to God for giving me the heart and desire to genuinely be of help to others. From childhood to present, I absolutely love helping others, it’s one of my greatest joys. It just so happens that my businesses have allowed me to turn my passion into profits. 🙂 My faith in God has made and continues to make a huge impact on my life. I am beyond grateful, thankful, and blessed.
