We had the good fortune of connecting with Richard Allen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Richard, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Honestly i feel as though iv developed a peaceful minded habit of not giving up. And what i mean by that is, when things get tough and hard i always see the positive side of it and push my way through it.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My name is richard allen I go by king Vass which im well known by, as a model i want to become a role model for others that are insecure and aren’t comfortable in their own skin. I want to show them no matter what insecurities you have you are still a magnificent person just as beautiful/ handsome as anyone else.
Me myself iv had to overcome insecurities being the skinny kid growing up always being made fun of and not really understanding why. I felt as though i had to change who i was physically in order to fit in until i came to the realization with the help of my family and friends that i do not have to change for anyone, if people dont like who i am thats perfectly fine because my life is my life and i have to do what makes me happy and brings me success.
Being able to maneuver through these trials and tribulations helped me to become a better model in the industry despite not having all the money in the world and not being able to do things alot quicker then i wanted to i still made a way and now im signed and going almost 8 years strong! I am so excited that i never gave up on my dream of becoming a professional model!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Mann lol i would have to say for starters we have to check out a few food spots for sure so im most definitely taking them to the Local green ATL , jr crickets, and maybe rock south cuisine for sure! After that we would most definitely have to go to centennial historical park its an amazing view and concept for anything you have planned. And of course you cant leave out six flags come on its a must, or even one of the scenic areas of Atlanta. Me being an animal lover we would definitely check out the zoo or some kinda animal attraction! And lastly a gaming bar or even laser tagging!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to focus the first recognition to my family and teachers always telling me how a career in modeling would do for me, and also my mom for encouragement by telling me the potential benefits my looks could bring, and all the people i met and especially my management team , and partnership with “deluxe the journey” they have all played the biggest part in my success and more to come!
