We had the good fortune of connecting with Rich Lewis IV and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rich, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
‘All the worlds a stage, and all the men and women merely players’

-Shakespeare

Life is akin to theater as everyone in society takes on a role or several everyday. We all prepare and put forth a level of commitment for these roles.

Ultimately, It reminds me that you can be find inspiration and truth in the most simplistic of things.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I don’t believe this sets me apart from my peers, but Im obsessed with storytelling at its core. Before I was 10 I was exposed to Humphrey Bogart films in the 40s, Harry Belafonte & Sidney Poitier films in the 70s, pre 1990 James Bond films and I love Lucy re-runs. I gained quite the imagination from this exposure..a valued tool I still rely on.

I’m most proud of the fact that I took a risk back in 2016 and decided this was to be a life long journey. It’s lead me to multiple National commercial campaigns, (Kay jeweler’s, Lowe’s, Google) supporting roles in films on major streaming platforms (prime video/Apple+) a supporting role in a beautiful film that premiered in 750 amc theaters nationwide (Between Mercey and Me). I’ve auditioned for reoccurring and guest star roles for some of the most popular shows on television this year and more exciting and lucky things are in the pipeline.

This industry is not easy and everyday is a grind. You will hear more no’s than yes or most of the time nothing at all. But all you need is one yes. Overall you have to be a consummate professional. It’s like any job in that light. Professionalism and a passion for the craft has allowed me to be in some amazing rooms and meet some incredible people along the way.

I just want the world to know to take that risk..chase that thing..immerse yourself in it. The fear of failure is natural..if it doesn’t scare you..you’re not dreaming big enough. And if “they” talk you out of it..you never wanted it that badly.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m the man with the plan! A new homie in the atl I’m first giving them a tour of my office in PCM then of PCM itself. Probably grab the first drink at bar vegan then bop to pour, new realm, lady bird, victory etc..dinner at Beetlecat or Barcelona wine bar and then rooftop Loa or spaceman in buckhead (great views). If here during the week, no reservation Monday at Joe Joe’s beloved and rock steady tuesdays. Happy hour at little spirit and hotel Claremont rooftop always hit. On Sunday I’d take em to the high museum, maybe hike up Stone Mountain if they into that

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
This may be cliché, but I wouldn’t be a professional actor without the support of my Mother and Father. They have supported and fueled me with all the positive affirmations, support, and love from the jump. From reluctantly reading lines with me, to listening to my MANY venting sessions about the industry. I couldn’t imagine this journey without them. It’s a privilege and blessing I thank God for daily.
