We had the good fortune of connecting with Renèe Hughes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Renèe, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Initially, it was really about time freedom. My husband and I were deeply in love with each other and with the life we envisioned—one where we could devote much of our time to each other and our volunteer work. We wanted to travel and live life on our terms, and to us, that meant establishing our own businesses. It grew into something more than just time freedom; it became incredibly fulfilling financially, emotionally, and creatively. It’s a space where I can express my true self in a very unique way. Few experiences compare to giving birth to a business that grows into a beautiful and responsible adult.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What makes my business different from others is that I help my clients fall in love with their businesses again and with themselves. I offer support with their mood, messaging, and money. As a holistic practitioner, I know it is important to provide a comprehensive approach to business. It took years of effort and frustration to acquire the knowledge I now teach, which centers on the invaluable benefits of clear communication and confidence. This understanding can change a mediocre business into something extraordinary, creating a deep connection that makes you almost feel guilty for being paid because you enjoy the work so much.. Building my business was far from easy. When I share how I progressed from making 1-2k a month to achieving 20k launches, it may seem like an overnight success, but it was anything but. I spent years earning little to nothing, followed by modest sums, before finally piecing together the crucial pieces of the success we enjoy today. Achieving clarity on my mission and offerings and communicating them effectively were game-changers. However, it was a long journey that required considerable support. What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that I work hard to create space for the more important things and people in my life and I want that for every business owner. I wish for more than just high earners, I wish for more people who genuinely love what they do. It’s such a gift to spend your days with rewarding work in various avenues of life. My holistic business approach is foundational; if either of the M’s are out of line (Mood, Money and Messaging) the walls will eventually come tumbling down. But with these 3 things in place, enjoying a profitable business doesn’t have to feel like the weight of the world.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite places in the city are actually my mom and sister’s houses—nothing tops that for fun, in my opinion. I’m all about relaxing, enjoying good food, great company, and an engaging movie. But,I Love FOOD!  Atlanta offers a plethora of dining experiences. You could indulge endlessly here. A couple of my top picks include Louisiana Bistreaux in Decatur and the Indian Street Food at Curry Up Now.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to extend a heartfelt shoutout to my husband, Randy Hughes III, and my team. Randy has backed me up from day one. He’s paid my debt off multiple times. He’s been my banker, my cheerleader, my therapist, my best friend and love of my life. He made me fall in love with him and our life over and over again. My team is so loyal and hard working. They believe in our business as much as I do and they love it. I cannot say enough about the beautiful, talented, strong women that lift me up every single day and get the sometimes mountain of work done with a smile. I truly love them!
