We had the good fortune of connecting with Rena’ & Jana’ Austin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rena’ & Jana’, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
We would not say that there is an indefinite end goal for Austin’s Kloset, as we plan to continuously grow and expand our brand overtime. We can say that our NEXT GOAL is to open up a store front in the midtown Atlanta area but also keeping our online website available for our AK Babes who are global.

What should our readers know about your business?
Austin’s Kloset is an online women clothing site that launched in March of 2019. Our goal is for our AK Babes (customers) of all body types to feel beautiful, sexy, comfortable, and powerful in our pieces. What sets us apart from others, would be that we are twin sisters, who are the face of our own brand, and have a genuine passion for providing unique looks to our customers. Our customer service is wonderful, we love to engage with our targeted population and receive feedback and positive criticism so that we can continuously grow as a business. Being that we are still in a global pandemic, challenges were definitely unforeseen. When covid-19 first came to global attention, we had concerns of how we would continue to expand our fairly new business when millions of people were losing their jobs. Gratefully, we were able to continue working as health care professionals and continue to finance the inventory for our business. However, we did not forget that others may not have been as lucky. Austins Kloset offered multiple giveaways around the holidays for our customers and provided continuous sales throughout the pandemic. Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We have been living in Atlanta for almost four years and it is safe to say that this is home for us. Being that we are originally from Mississippi, we always have a ton of friends visiting from out of state and showing them a good time is always at the top of of list. What’s a trip without Brunch?? Anyone would tell you that, “If nothing else the twins are going to brunch”. So here’s a few of our favorite brunch spots; 10th & Piedmont, The Hive Buckhead, Church 5 Atlanta, Restaurant in Buckhead shops, BQE restaurant, Atlantis, RockSteady Atlanta and Roc South Cuisine. Disclaimer, there are many different styles of brunch in Atlanta, so google before attending, lol.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Success never comes without an amazing group for people behind you. Within the two years that Austin’s Kloset has been opened, we have had a huge amount of support, mentorship, love, and encouragement from others. One organization that we would like to shout out is LIFEATL. LIFEATL is a platform that connects entrepreneurs with opportunities to further expand themselves and gain exposure. LIFEATL has allowed Austin’s Kloset to be apart of great events such as the Feed The Streets service event and the Life ATL Annual fashion Show.
