Meet Reggie Lewis | Playwright/ Actor & Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Reggie Lewis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Reggie, how does your business help the community?
One of the ways my business help the community. It allows me to employ different actors and actresses that had the desire to be on on stage but was never afforded the opportunity. I’m always giving back to my community and different churches/organizations when lead or promoted. Being an acting coach, I also teach/coach individuals on how to sharpen their craft.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from others I think is, all of my stories and all of my plays are not only relevant but a real time and real life issues. I am a few twists in terms with a little suspicious as well. We always say if only you knew my story you will understand the reason I write the way that I write. Where I am compared to where I started from, has not been easy but it has been worth it. With much prayer and great family support I was able to overcome those challenges. The good thing is, the community know me very well and my character speaks for itself easy for people to really believe in what I’m doing and support it. The lesson that I learned is always trust God and pray about it every thing/area in your life. I want the world to know that your story may not be the next man story but it’s just that your story. Anything that comes from RLL Productions you can be sure to not only relate to it, but take something away from it to better your situation.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would start off by showing them the space center. That’s one of the areas here in Huntsville Alabama that is an attraction throughout the world and a lot of people come here to space camp. I will then show them a lot of the country land that we have here, the cattle and farms. Since Huntsville is up-and-coming now, I would show them all of the new construction areas for shopping, entertainment, and eatery. We have a brewery here called Campus 805, This place has live bands and entertainment plenty of food and plenty of things to drink. LOL.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My wife and family deserves the recognition. They have pushed me throughout the years in my acting, singing, writing career. They are my number one fans and they pray for my success daily. Also, anything that I need the weather financially or spiritually, they always in sure that I’m taken care of.
