We had the good fortune of connecting with Reggie Lewis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Reggie, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success has been my intuitive ability to see beyond the obvious. While many refer to it as the “it factor,” I have often found that when I am unable to explain my fascination, that is the girl….or guy. Being a university educator and administrator of 20 plus years has allowed me the honor of using operating with the four points of the Miss America crown. Scholarship, style, success and service transcend all facets of academia in pursuit of the crown.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Reggie Lewis Consulting differs from many other talented coaches in that I focus on where the girl goes after the crown. The crown is only symbolic of one year of the titleholder’s life. I begin by discussing academic, career, and life goals. This allows me to really get to know the girl and build a relationship that extends far beyond the stage.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My closest friends are now spread across the United States. We began our friendships as young professionals (uniquely through pageantry) in metro Atlanta. As a native, I often rest on the intrigue of those visiting as they are enamored by the city and this allows me to tell the story of the history of Terminus to Atlanta as I take them on a tour bringing it all to life. Of course, we always end up with dinner, drinks and desert.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This is dedicated to the memory of my biggest cheerleader, Gennell Pagan Lewis. My mother made a unique transition on her birthday and while I often struggle with the loss, I rest assured that God had a plan.
