Meet Reece Robinson | DJ & Music Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Reece Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Reece, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I pursued an artistic/creative career because it allows me to express my unique perspective and emotions through music and djing in a way that words alone cannot capture. Additionally, I have always been drawn to the power of music and the different genres and the ability to stir up emotions and inspire others to have a good time through my work at a young age.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
After years of being at home playing around and making music, I came upon my lifelong talent. Going to the music store for my tenth birthday to get this new gear, Numark Mixtrack Pro3, made me create a new path of life which is djing. I had successfully found talent that i would hold on to and profit from for the rest of my life. From that day on, I dedicated myself to perfecting my craft of djing and pursuing my passion for music. I started performing at local venues, different events and eventually gained a following, which led to opportunities of a life time. At the age of 10, I began his musical journey by exploring my talents as a drummer. I have also gained my respect as a renowned music producer and engineer. I’ve worked in multiple teen events for his high school, Family Day for the College Park SkyHawks, First Day Fulton, and various other events and parties throughout the metro Atlanta area.Since then I’ve been able to travel and perform in front of many of people, sharing my love for music and connecting with different people from all walks of life with many different genres of music I’ve played. Through hard work and determination, I was able to turn my hobby into a successful career that has brought me endless satisfaction and completion. I am now a full time dj at the age of 16

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shout out my parents for making a lot of what I do happen. They have always been my biggest supporters and have encouraged me to pursue my dreams. From helping me get to where I need to go to helping managing & booking. They have been there every step of the way, providing guidance and advice whenever I needed it. Without their unwavering support, I wouldn’t have been able to achieve all that I have. Their dedication and belief in me have truly been instrumental in my success. I would also like to shout out some of the mentors I’ve had along the way such as Greg Street, Dj Jelly ,Jfly and more. These mentors have played a crucial role in shaping my skills and knowledge within the industry. Their guidance have pushed me to constantly improve and excel in my craft. I am grateful for their mentorship and the impact they have had on my journey towards achieving my dreams.
