We had the good fortune of connecting with Rebecca Strobl, CPP, EMT-I and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rebecca, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I saw a need for individuals to be equipped with life-changing knowledge given to them in a way they would remember and enjoy receiving. I had spent several years training my sales team employees to be successful in a way that resonated with their unique learning styles and the needs of our customers. I spent years in various roles within my Volunteer Fire Department as a Volunteer Firefighter and EMT training others to mitigate emergencies confidently. In both these worlds, there was a consistent trend to keep our knowledge contained within the industry. Truths we take for granted, when shared can be leveraged by the general public in positively impacting lives. My thoughts for my company were to bridge that knowledge gap.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am the President and Founder of New Day Education and Motivation, LLC (NDEM). We specialize in empowering others to prepare for possible emergencies, conquer their toughest challenges, and positively impact the lives around them.

With decades of experience in business development, security consulting, client retention, employee engagement, training, team building, non-profit leadership, and emergency services leadership; I have the expertise to create customized educational, security, and safety programs for my clients.

Each motivational keynote shows my passion for inspiring others to learn and thrive. We provide this transformative knowledge at our client’s chosen venue, within their schedule, and customized to their needs. This along with our commitment to excellence and amazing customer service sets us apart.

My qualifications include being a licensed State of Georgia EMT-Intermediate; Health and Safety Institute Instructor (Bloodborne Pathogens, CPR, AED, First Aid, Wilderness First Aid); Certified Protection Professional (CPP); Greater Atlanta ASIS International Chapter Chair; receiving awards and honors for my contributions to training, new business development contributions, youth mentorship, exemplary service as a volunteer firefighter; and a letter of congratulations from a United States Congressman for making history as the first female fire chief in my Volunteer Fire Department’s and county’s history.

My path to entrepreneurship was not easy or planned. It started while I was working full-time in sales and serving my community as their Volunteer Fire Chief, registered firefighter, and licensed EMT-Intermediate. This included delivering engaging educational experiences to my firefighters, and certification training to my community. One of my first clients heard of this and requested I share the same knowledge with their employees to meet their OSHA life-safety training requirements. It was a part-time venture for many years while I continued to grow in my corporate sales and volunteer public safety careers. The “burn the ship” moment came for me in August 2023, when I decided that the freedom of caring for my clients the way I believed they needed their problems solved, inspiring individuals to learn within my customized framework, and creating my professional destiny on my terms was greater than staying in my comfort zone or “ship” of corporate sales where I had thrived for over 20 years.

I want the world to know that throughout my life I often heard all the reasons why the dreams inside of me were not possible. I desire to turn these struggles into strengths by being the enthusiastic voice of hope, strategic knowledge, and motivation in the lives of others. We at New Day and Motivation wish to amplify this voice and serve as an abundant source of life-saving knowledge, leadership strategies, team transformation, and motivation.

Brasstown Bald Visitor Information Center: It is the highest point in Georgia at 4,784 feet above sea level and just a short drive from Blairsville, Hiawassee, and Helen. It includes picnic areas with great views; a general store with locally made products; three trailheads just off of our parking lot; a mountaintop natural science & history museum, and an observation deck that offers a spectacular 360° view of the surrounding area, including four states (GA, TN, NC, & SC) and if you’re lucky, the skyline of Atlanta!

Marietta Dinner. It is a family-owned and operated restaurant that since 1995 has offered 24-hour-a-day deliciousness. The diner has been featured on Food Network’s “Diner, Drive-ins and Dives.”

Zeus Greek Street Food (2022 Powers Ferry Rd #130, Atlanta, GA 30339). My security colleague and good friend eat there often to catch up on each other’s busy lives.

Perrotta’s Pizza in Canton, GA. My husband and I know the owners (Lou and Gina Perrotta) who are amazing people who provide delicious food and excellent customer service. We love how much they give back to our community. They support our first responders with frequent food donations and frequently give them discounts when dining at the restaurant.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband of 23 years, Dr. Gary Strobl, whose love, support, and encouragement over the decades have inspired me to achieve things I never dreamed possible.

My fire and emergency services colleague, Chief Eddie Robinson whose enthusiastic support of my volunteer fire and emergency services volunteer leadership path fanned the flames of me serving my community and beyond in a capacity I never imagined as a youth.

My security colleague, Keith Oringer whose encouraging words to focus the entirety of my professional career on my company, New Day Education and Motivation assisted in fueling my current full-time entrepreneurial journey. His decades of friendship were a tremendous blessing as I forged my corporate security sales career within the challenging security industry.

My friend, Buffy Payne of Chick and Dude Enterprises whose introduction to you and others has opened wonderful doors of opportunity.
