We had the good fortune of connecting with Rebecca Sims and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rebecca, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was based off of many questions like, Is this really for me? How can I build my clientele? Is marketing going to be hard? How long will it take to see a profit? Once I realize things will come if you do the work the process became easier.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m an Entrepreneur, my passion is making custom treats such as dipped Oreos, rice krispy treats, chocolate covered strawberries, custom cupcakes etc for special events.. My work is authentic, I create as I go. What I do comes natural to me and it’s one of my peaceful task. One of the lesson I have learned is to be patience and great things will present itself!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My itinerary would include,

The Spice House
Day pass at the W for rooftop fun drinks and food.
Fin and Feathers
For Brunch we can check out Big Oak Tavern and the Breakfast Boys
Also for fun and games we can go to the Complex

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to shoutout Natasha Cameron (AD Beauty) & Melissa Head (Family Funnel Cakes) these two women are definitely my biggest supporters, very uplifting and inspiring.
