We had the good fortune of connecting with Rebecca “Becx” Redondo-Eide and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rebecca “Becx”, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting a business involves careful consideration and planning. At first, I came up with a business idea, like capitalizing on a particular passion or skill and of course identifying the needs of my market. Market analysis, conduct and assess market viability, my target audience and competition. Then, the business plan by creating overall strategy, goals and operational details. Starting a business requires dedication, persistence and a willingness to learn from both successess and failures. It is an exciting journey that can be filled with opportunities and rewards. This is where I started my company Adventura Enterprises LLC wherein I produced the first ever big Filipino concert in Atlanta GA.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As of now, I am working as an IT Project Lead in Any Test Franchising Inc. I have been into Information Technology for more than 20 years way back in the Philippines where I worked in a big company as an IT at National Bookstore (one of the biggest retail stores of books and office supplies), Banco De Oro (one of the biggest bank in PH), and my last was as an IT Site Leader in Convergys now Concentrix (well known Contact Center in PH) before coming here in the USA. When I came here to the US I was already programmed that I could not get the job that I wanted, I worked in KFC in CA then moved here to GA as a Project Coordinator in 2012 after 2 years I decided to go back where I have the skills which is in Technology. I was hired by Any Test Franchising Inc. to be their IT Project Lead. After 10 years, I know that I already established, it’s time to make something else. That was 2022 when I decided to watch the concert of my favorite band way back in the Philippines they will be performing in Lakeland FL. I traveled with my friends for 8 hours to watch the concert and meet them again in person and from there I told myself I was gonna be bringing the concert to Atlanta GA. I am so excited to bring them here in Atlanta GA, but the question is how? That’s a big event, thinking I am a Technical person, how can I make a big concert event but there’s more…I am a wedding coordinator in the Philippines and with that being said I know that I can make it happen, I can coordinate with the vendor, and the promoter of the show is helping me from start to finish so, the 2023 OPM Summerfest Part 2 performed in GA, then another Filipino concert event happened and now on March 16 another Filipino band will be performing!

Another thing that I am so proud of is that I was able to help the Fil-Am Community in Atlanta GA. Being one of the PAWAG (Philippine American Women’s Association of Georgia) past presidents (2020-2021) and now one of the Board of Advisers, we will able to assist abused and battered women in the community, assisting those who are in need.

It is not as easy as it can be, I encountered challenges. In my work, people around me, promoting and marketing the concert, but it didn’t stop me there. For me no guts no glory.! Quitter Loser! Those are the words that are always in my mind… I never stop. Challenges are always there, you should just always be ready. People will bash me and give negative feedback, I just take it as a challenge, and with friends around me, I always stay positive…

Leeson learned? Be yourself, Be true to yourself, and express yourself when you know you are right!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well, I have to bring her/him some American restaurants and some of the tourist spots here in GA such as Coca-Cola, GA Aquarium, and Atlanta Zoo, and shop in one of the well-known outlets here. Then after a couple of weeks, I will bring her/him to Kamayan ATL and Kuya’s Pinoy Resto for authentic Filipino food made in America. Will introduce him/her to my friends and Fil-AM organizations.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shout out to the following person and organization.

Big Shout out to my husband Andy Eide and Keira Annjela. Andy is very supportive in everything I do though sometimes I am hard-headed he still supports me through thick and thin and through my ups and downs. My daughter is always with me wherever I am, it may be a concert or Fil-Am event she’s with me.,

The first people who convinced me to join the Atlanta Fil-Am community were Pia Valeriano PAWAG President 2015 and Willy Blanco (Well well-known Community Leader in the Fil-Am Atlanta Community they taught me how to engage with the community by attending events, volunteering, and joining local organizations. Another person is Juliet Pingul a very good friend, she was the one who brought me to different events in the Fil-Am community, and Mark Mercado, he’s the one mentoring me in the industry of production and entertainment

And a BIG shoutout to all Fil-Am in GA and Fil-Am Org for supporting us small business owners!
