We had the good fortune of connecting with Rayy Blank and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rayy, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Everything I’ve done in my career required taking risks. I’ve been broke plenty of times from taking the risks necessary and everything has been impactful upon my career in making music. You can’t be afraid to make something from nothing when it comes to making music and everything about making music is risk taking.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Currently I rap. I’ve been making music for about 8 years and I’ve amassed more than two million streams in total. I’m based from Atlanta, Georgia and I’ve collaborated with artists like Gunna, Lil Keed, Famous Dex, Lil Gotit and others. Making music has never been easy and despite doing everything myself it’s been a rewarding process.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I like being around the Sandy Springs area considering of the nice environment and stuff like that . I usually go Downtown to record music at Kisswork Studios or Loud House but you gotta look out for any craziness there because you never know what to expect.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
