We had the good fortune of connecting with Raven Sharrone and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Raven, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risks is just taking a chance and seeing what can happen even though you aren’t sure about the outcome. When it comes to your career especially starting a business I know risks can be scary but you have to have faith the size of a mustard seed and believe that if it’s meant to be GOD will lead you the entire way. Life can be unpredictable and sometimes we worry about what’s next but I say taking a risk and constantly encouraging yourself will get you a long way. When I started my boutique I knew that I had to take a risk. Fashion is just not a career to me its what I love and I know this is one of my purposes GOD has set for me so I am going to do what I have to do to get where I need to be.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have an online women’s boutique called FaithAnddFashion where I sell trendy casual and streetwear clothing and accessories. You can find my boutique on instagram @shopfaithanddfashion. I also have a fashion inspiration/blog on Instagram called @fanddfbuxx. I first started out just blogging and posting inspiration outfits but then I knew I wanted to sell clothing so I then expanded to my boutique. My boutique is catered to women 18-35. FaithAnddFashion is a woman’s dream wardrobe we call it “Inspirational Dream Closet” because we provide affordable cute items to women that are fashionable or either need help with there wardrobe. My boutique is where you can come to find statement pieces and staple basics. My mission is to make my customers feel beautiful and stylish. when their items show up to there doorstep.

I am most proud of starting my business. I recently just started my online boutique December 3rd, 2021. I have been waiting, praying, and processing everything for quite a while now. When I went to school for fashion I knew I wanted my own brand to not only have an impact on someone’s wardrobe and style but to also leave a legacy.

Some challenges I would say when starting a business up to now is that you have to just keep going. I am a person where I like fast results but when starting off small I now realize that things take time. So, I have to constantly encourage my self to keep going even when I feel like I’m not where I want to be. I just learned to live in the moment and just to be grateful that by the grace of GOD I was able to start my business because without him I don’t know how I did it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia so downtown Atlanta is quite fun. Even though I was born and raised In Atlanta I haven’t explored everything just yet. However, I think the parks in the downtown area is nice. We have a sky view, lots of cool restaurants and dessert places. I think our aquarium will be a fun place to go and the museums,. In little five points there are also some nice places to shop especially when it comes to small businesses. At night Atlanta is beautiful so just driving on the highway or a night out in Atlanta seeing the city light up is soothing and its just a nice vibe.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to my mom for always believing me. She has helped me so much with everything and I wish she was here with me but she’s in heaven right now so my goal was to always make her proud and I will continue to do that.
