Hi Rashod, what do you attribute your success to?
Hmmm, that’s a great question.  I believe the most important factor behind the success of my brand would have to be the sheer fact that I have a craving to be successful.  I’ve had a lot and I mean a lot of bumps and bruises in my career, but the thing that gets me out of bed every day and makes me try again is the fact that this is something that I’ve wanted since I was a little kid.  For me, there is no other option besides being successful, so that is what I strive for every single day.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My agency, The Rebel Society, which is a content marketing agency is one of my greatest joys, outside of my family. We offer content creation and social media management for small businesses, e-commerce brands, and personal brands. Nothing about running a company is easy, especially during the starting phase.  To get to the success I’ve achieved so far, it’s been a lot of hard work, to be honest with you.  I’ve overcome the challenges just by being super persistent and understanding that I am unique and leaning into that.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ok so if I had a friend come into town there are a couple of spots I would take them. First, there is nothing better than a Downtown Norfolk Happy Hour experience. There are so many great restaurants and bars on Granby street that it is hard not to have a good time. If we wanted to relax but also get some good food and drinks, then we would go to the Virginia Beach Oceanfront and go to the spa at The Cavalier hotel and then maybe finish the day at either one of the restaurants in The Cavalier or go right across the street to the Marriott hotel to Orion’s Roof, which has an impeccable ambiance.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I feel like there are a lot of people who have helped me during this journey of mine no matter how big or small their contribution to my life was, but I would have to say that my wife, Elle, is the one who deserves the most credit. She has been by my side to rub my back during the rough times. She has been there to have hours-long conversations/ strategy sessions during the planning stages. And during my moments of success, she is there right beside me to cheer me on. So if I had to give anyone a shoutout it would have to be her.
