We had the good fortune of connecting with Rashida Reese and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rashida, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting a business was completely scary for me. Being a product of corporate America, I was used to the security of working and knowing I would be compensated. My husband reminded me that the time was now, and it was perfect. I’ve always believed in owning a marketing agency, and it was not by chance that I was in a position to start ReBirth Marketing & Consulting. My thought process was to develop an agency that businesses could depend on for services, guidance and ultimately the honest truth. I have worked with so many companies that have been burned by marketers or firms. I wanted to lead with integrity and trust. That is the only way I know to do business.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am Rashida Reese, President, and CEO of ReBirth Marketing and Consulting. ReBirth is a strategic marketing and consulting firm where we assist our clients with reaching their marketing goals. I’ve wanted to own an advertising agency for years, but the timing was never right. After surviving an acquisition with my former employer, I no longer felt inspired by corporate America. That feeling continued to eat at me, and through prayer and a challenging conversation with my husband, I decided to leave corporate America. This decision changed my life, and I haven’t looked back.
Starting a new business from the ground up is not for the faint of heart, and while this may sound clichè, there is a lot of blood, sweat, and tears that go into making a business successful. My advice to any new entrepreneur is to brainstorm your ideas and then formulate a plan. I think that every plan needs a vision, so write it down, and I mean, write all of your ideas down. I believe what sets ReBirth apart is our ability to keep goals centric to the strategy. Our team uses a roadmap that allows us to have open dialogue with our clients. We consider ourselves a true extension of our client’s operation. It is our responsibility to guide their marketing process and help them reach their goals.
Our formula is simple: Client Needs (Goals)+ Strategy Development + Execution+ Data Analysis=Goal Attainment. We put this formula on repeat and make needed adjustments along the way.
We handle social media campaigns, strategic marketing consulting, media buying, and so much more. I’m proud of the work that we are privileged to do every day. My team has bought into the mission, and our clients trust us to guide their brands. The work we do is important, and it is a privilege to lead a team full of talented people who trust the process. We continuously educate ourselves and work to be innovative to be the best agency for our clients. We believe we are unstoppable so therefore we are working to achieve great things. Make sure to follow us on IG and Facebook! We’d love to connect with you.

There’s nothing else left after dinner for me! We have to have balance to keep this train moving! Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Quinton Reese is my biggest fan and cheerleader. While my husband is perfectly fine with me being me, he also brings clarity to my cloudiness. Whenever I’m spiraling I can depend on Quinton to recognize my needs and quickly come to the rescue. After 16 years of partnership, he knows me through and through and I appreciate his support and love every single day.
