We had the good fortune of connecting with Rashad Clark and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rashad, why did you pursue a creative career?
Since I was a child I’ve always been very artistic. I began loving the passion for fashion since the age of 5, always putting together my clothes everyday on how I felt that day, helping other people style themselves, looking at a piece of clothing and figuring out 20 different ways I can wear this garment. The older I got, the more my love, expression, and exploring grew with it as well. As a child,I was always recognized by family and friends as an imaginative, and visionary character,. To me modeling and being a fashion content creator isn’t just a career it’s my life. I’ve tried to dabble in other career fields but I feel the most free and true to myself when I am modeling and/or creating content.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a firm believer of speaking things in your life. When I was in high school I would always say I am going to become a model and focus on my fashion content, and be the best version of myself. It wasn’t easy at first because I always would self sabotage myself. Until one day I just told myself “if you want this so bad why not go for it? the only person holding yourself back is YOU”. It wasn’t easy, especially being a black queer young man from the south. I’ve experienced homophobia and racism along this journey but I don’t let that get me down. I don’t pay attention to it. My grandma always would tell me if someone is spewing out hate, there’s something going on with them personally and you just have to pray for them and love them from a distance. I want the world to know about my brand is that it’s okay to be a guy and be feminine. The goal is liberation, to be completely free and live in your truth. That’s what i hope people see when they come across my content/brand

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Atlanta has so many different things to do. First I would take them to this brunch place called The Hive located in Buckhead. The food is absolutely amazing and the drinks are superb. For dinner I would recommend Ruth Chris, Maggianos or this place called The Farmhouse at Serenbe. Also being that Atlanta is a prominent place for music there are so many different lounges with live music, but my favorite is Rich and Pour Opulence Lounge.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout my friends Dominic, Jybree, Danni, and Lenny. They always inspire me to keep pushing and going after what i want. I’ve known them for 2 years but it seems like a lifetime. They make me a better person. They’re always making sure I am focused and vice versa. It very interesting how we met. We all have a mutual love for Beyoncé and we all met on a live that was discussing her. Ever since 2021 we have all been attached to the hip.
