We had the good fortune of connecting with Ralph Gregory jr and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ralph, what do you want people to remember about you?
What I want my legacy to be is the positive influence I have on others, inspirational, the rareness, genuine, Radiant, and a God fearing man. I want to be remembered for being the man who helped people step out the comfort zones when it comes to fashion and style, someone who encourages each individual to be happy about the person God blessed them to be and not focus on the opinions of others or society. I want to be remembered for being true to myself and always remaining humble for all God blessed me with.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art, designs, and my personal style gives 90s , urban, high fashion with a modern day aesthetic touch. What I think set me apart from others is that I’m not in this just for the money and wealth. I’m in it because my brand “RJ Brands Customs” is my passion and heart and it’s a movement to continue to influence and inspire many to be true to who they are and when they wear my art they feel refreshed, bold, fearless, confident, and unstoppable when wearing my pieces. I am most proud about all the wisdom , growth, improvement and knowledge I’ve gained over the 6 years of having my brand. I got to where I am today is because of the great support system I have around me, consistency, dedication, hard work and most importantly Gods help and staying prayed up keeping my faith strong while putting in the work. The road isn’t easy at times but if your really passionate about your craft and love what you do, any obstacles thrown your way shouldn’t be able to stop you nor steer you away from what you love. I’ve learned that you have to stay consistent, invest and stay dedicated to your brand to get far. What I want the world to know is that “RJ Brands Customs LLC” is not only a clothing line. It’s a movement that is monumental. I remember being in dark times in my life with having low self esteem, no confidence, and not being to embrace the man God made me to be. I didn’t let that take over my life I put those things into my craft and clothing because I want my story to get to the next individual and be able to help people along the way and tell a story through my clothing. As long as I can continue to touch lives, inspire, and have the positive influence around the world through my craft. I’m happy.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Honestly I like to have some real fun and I love games. I love huge adult arcades with all the nostalgic arcade games with having some good drinks and good vibes. Me and my friends love always doing different things and living life to the fullest. My week long trip I would take them is on a cruise. Going on a cruise you meet a lot of cool people, it’s nothing but good drinks bars and entertainment everywhere on the ship and great selections of food.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I wanna first and foremost give my shoutout to God. I wouldn’t be where I am right now or accomplished if it wasn’t for the power of prayer, having strong faith and putting the faith into work. I wanna shoutout two huge supporters always in my corner my mom and dad. It means so much to see them attend my fashion shows, rooting for me every step of the way and raising me to be best version of myself. I love my parents. It’s also a blessing to have great friends in your corner as well to lift you up, encourage you and that support you always. Huge shoutout to my best friend Jasmine who always have my back and best interest at heart and someone who is always supportive and just a dope friend anyone can ask for. My brand Ambassador/friend and one of the most fire music artist Vonn Wave play a huge role in supporting and rocking my brand, his help , hard work and contribution is always appreciated. Shoutout to Shawn Williams my good brotha the owner of his dope clothing brand “Overrated” clothing line. His contributions and support to my brand go a long way and we can feed off each other to help get our brands to the top. I can’t forget my two models and also great friends Stormy and Torian. Two beautiful energies and two of the hardest working models in the business. Not only are they good at what they do but great friends and supportive and I’m highly grateful for them.
